The Pone Wars 2.2: Raining On Your Parade

Moon Moth, being a coddled little rich filly, gets all her ideas about the wider universe from action holos. In that light, many of her later decisions make a lot more sense.

For the benefit of those who haven't read the original series yet (or neglected to read my authors' notes on it if you did), the artifact they're talking about is the Mirror Pool, which was my explanation for why all the stormhoofers were morons.  The explanation for why it took fifty years to create a clone army (even though creating a clone with the pool takes less than ten seconds) was that it didn't - it just took that long to minimize the flaw in the original Mirror Pool that made the clones so stupid.  Then, of course, the improved versions were lost over the course of the war and so they had to go back to using the original and a couple of early prototypes.

I was dreading doing the last panel, as I recalled how much my computer started to chug when I was doing the scene of the Empress arriving on the Nightmare Moon (which had about half as many figures in it), but it seems Affinity handles that sort of thing a lot better than Inkscape did (as long as I didn't zoom in too much).

It was a lot harder than usual to find good interior shots of Kamino, so I had to make the few I could find stretch.  Fortunately, you can get away with a lot of recycling in sci-fi
