The gold, russet and red season is almost upon us (unless you're from the Southern Hemisphere; you guys will need to use your imaginations). As the crop turns soft and sweet, Inspiring-Stories is looking to harvest some great autumn-themed stories. Be a part of it, and there's a unique prize in the offing!
The best three stories will be narrated by me in an autumnal, rocky landscape on the outskirts of the UK's beautiful Bristol, and uploaded to YouTube. Want to see a sample of what this will look lilke? Here's a summertime equivalent:

Happy Story Challenge - Pinterest
It's been too long since I last hosted a challenge, so I'm issuing a fun, friendly contest to everyone who enjoys putting their proverbial pen to paper.
Ready?
The challenge is to post a pithy, positive story based on any of these prompts pulled up from Pinterest. The prize for the winner will be either a two-week holiday to the Maldives, a brand new Land Rover Vogue, or entry of your story to the Featured folder of the Inspiring-Stories (https://www.deviantart.com/inspiring-stories) gallery.
In all seriousness, the best stories will be narrated and uploaded to The Saturday Storytellers
The challenge closes on the 30th of June, so as ever, I'll see you all in the mosh pit!

Silence - YouTube Upload
Happy Sunday to everybody, and today I have for you a pretty little story called Silence, by TheWarOfTheRing (https://www.deviantart.com/thewarofthering)
Summary: Jim takes his girlfriend Jana for a walk in the snow to show her what he found there: perfect, unspoiled silence.
Our narrator, lending her tones to Jana for this story, is FakeTsuki (who did not provide me with a link). You can find the intro and outro music here, and I would like to say thank you to everybody who contributed sound effects including this walking in snow effect, the howling wind, and the incredibly serene birdsong.
Also due a thank you is charmingis (https://www.deviantart.com/charmingis) who provided this photograph for the video thumbnail:

An Apology
Hello all,
I was busy yesterday evening preparing YouTube videos for upload when I realised that one of the stories in my to-do list has a racist element. For those of you who are curious, the story in question is Dixie, which I have already removed from Inspiring-Stories (https://www.deviantart.com/inspiring-stories) Featured folder.
I would like to take this opportunity to apologise for any offence caused.
A Long-Overdue Check In
Hi everyone,
I think a check-in with you all is in order, so here goes.
I've gotten very busy in the past few weeks. In fact, I made a status update about it a few days ago. For those of you who didn't see it: I am Revolting! The good news is, I have been able to upload something this week, and if you want to see that, it's here: Nightriders: Battle of the Bands - chapter 14
The funny thing is, if I tell you what's changed in my timetable, I don't think it's going to sound like much. I've started working on a 100-hour case study for my diploma and dedicated 4 hours per week to it, and that's come out of the time I would normally spend maki
