Autumn

This took way longer than it was supposed to due to procrastination _{(and I thought I was getting better at not procrastinating )}, but I'm still pretty happy with how this turned out! I've been wanting to draw an autumn/fall related scene for quite a while now since it's one of my favorite seasons, so I thought that now would be a good time to do it!

This was loosely based on the Charles River, since I was walking by it last month and thought it looked nice, and that I should draw it. I didn't really like how the buildings looked in the background, however, so I decided to turn them into mountains and make it more of a Walden Pond type area.

I've been trying to incorporate slightly more complex perspectives than a more flat perspective in my drawings, and it's turning out decently, I think (again, critiques are very much appreciated!). Drawing this made me realize a bit more how I really do need to try and make the characters fit better with the environment, I kind of think they look out of place.
