Ladies and Gentlemen; Fillies and Gentlecolts; I come to you today with a new initiative: a month-long sketchathon, where I take your requests and draw one sketch per day throughout February.
How does it work?
Easy! Leave a comment below with your request and I'll add them to the list in order. First come, first served, and there are only 28 slots available! You are allowed to request more than one sketch, however these additional requests will only be used if there are not enough unique entries for every day, and only one per person, cycling through the list from the beginning, repeated as many times as necessary.
What can I request?
Anything you like! A random idea? Favourite character? OC? Any series or original idea! Anything that will make an interesting and worthwhile drawing is allowed, however this is limited to Safe For Work images - nothing explicit or fetish-based. I reserve the right to disallow any entry at my own discretion. Remember, I can draw more than just ponies!
What do I win?!?!
You win art!!11! Think of it like a free, low-tier commission; there are no prizes beyond that. Got a friend who wants something drawn, or an idea brought to life? Share this journal entry around and get then some free draws! If this event goes well, it will happen again, and if I get enough entries, I may expand the number of sketches per day. How much free art you get is up to you!
Fantastic! I want a ___ and a ___ riding a ___ in a ___
Hold up there, bucko. Don't forget that these entries are for sketches - like an hour's work. Don't plan for much more than two characters, preferably one, and probably without any background. If you want something more, or for me to 'finish' your piece, then that's a commission. If you want me to turn the sketch into a proper piece, the cost of the commission will likely be slightly reduced, due to some work already being done.
Without further ado, the list for February is as follows:
01st - Tempest Shadow as Mary Poppins (jppiper)
02nd - Pinkie Pie cuddling Fluttershy happily (yuppi12)
03rd - Adult Kumquat (Nobody)
04th - Diamond Dogs (Nobody)
05th - Starlight Glimmer and Pinkie Pie being cute and romantic together (Sabr3cat-1453) [Incomplete]
06th - Celestia happily watching filly-Twilight sleeping (Nobody)
07th - Cloudy Quartz with her mane down looking happy (Nobody)
08th - Princess Skystar and Elsa from Frozen (jppiper, 2nd Request) [Incomplete]
09th - Daring Do stuck in a quicksand pit and looking annoyed while saying : "Not again" (yuppi12, 2nd Request)
February 7th Update
Anyone who has been following his project will know that I have already fallen off the daily goals I set myself. I started this project to force myself to draw daily, with unexpected subjects to test myself and generally try to reignite the passion of drawing inside me. I enjoyed the first sketch, stumbled with the second, loved the third (because it was my own character), then ground to a halt with the fourth. I'm currently working on the 5th drawing, and it's already the end of the 7th day. I'm putting off the work, not enjoying the deadlines I've set myself, giving myself tasks on top of the tasks I already need to do, and generally burning myself out more than I already am. It was a good idea, but wrong for me and my situation.
I will complete the sketches I've promised, though it won't be daily (not that I could manage that before anyway), but I will be taking this opportunity to cut down the list you see below. I need to remove this black cloud of responsibilities hovering over my head that I have not delivered upon. I need to find out what will let me enjoy art again, and this sketching project has been a real eye-opener in that regard. I feel like the future of my comic lies in sketched lined and hand-shaded monochrome, rather than the sleek lines and tones I intensively labour over right now. And frankly, to that end, the true future of the comic may be as a novel - I have written so much more in the upcoming origin story in a drastically shorter time than it would have taken to draw it all.
But all of that is neither here nor there. I want to apologise for failing time and time again, not delivering on the promises I make, and generally being a disappointing artist. I don't know what will make me happy, but I realise now that I can't just keep forcing myself forward, down a path I don't enjoy. I need to find what will make me happy, what I feel I can do, something that I won't buckle under the weight of. In that regard I may need to remove the highest tier of my Patreon - even though it's just one person - simply so the art commitment don't continue to pile up indefinitely.
I just want to be happy, but I don't know how to get there. Maybe this will help, maybe it won't, I don't know, but I will at least try. Things need to be simple again. I'm sorry for failing this initiative.
February 19th Update

March 12th Update
Combined two scraps and returned one to the gallery, while deleting the other.
May 21st, 2023 Update
Finally uploaded the two outstanding, incomplete Sketchathon entries, #5 and #8. Both are in a rougher-than-sketch stage and will not be completed, but at least this book can finally be closed. It's not like anyone has cared for years anyway.

Design-a-Pal
We all know about the controversies surrounding Palworld and its not-so-original designs, and that just gave me an idea. I'm no stranger to "fakemon" with my Monster series, so I want you you suggest Pals you want to see redesigned to be original. I'll take basic cues from the existing design and sketch out an original twist not seen in Pokemon (Pocket Pair, hire me). Comment below with which Pal you want to see de-Pokemon'd!
APP Isn't Dead
Wow, I know I hadn't touched APP in a while, but I didn't think it was 14 months. Of course, that was the last upload, not the last time I worked on a page--each seems to take twice as long than the last. Page #87 is like half done, but that doesn't mean anything to anyone who isn't me. I've not given up on the comic, I just don't enjoy drawing anymore, and APP is about the most labour-intensive work I create (perhaps second to the rare commission I used to get). I've spent the majority of the last year writing, if anyone follows my Fim-Fic account. The next page *will* be finished, but I won't pretend that it will be soon. I had planned on continuing the comic up until at least Pinkie's return to Ponyville (which, if anyone has been keeping track of my previous posts, is where the story BEGINS--everything up to now was just prologue/inciting event), but the question is whether I continue to draw the comic past that point, or I transition to creative writing. Writing is MUCH faster
Mental Health
I have recently had a mental breakdown and am seeking help, which is taking time, and I should have got a long, long time ago. I have lost interest in my hobbies and have no support, so I won't be working on any art or writing for the foreseeable future. I will update if and when my circumstances change.
The Future (and Past) of Ask-Pink-Pony
Fillies, Gentlecolts, and everypony in-between; it's been a long journey, hasn't it? "Ask-Pink-Pony" began life in February 2014, evolving from a straight-forward Tumblr 'ask blog' to a full-blown comic by August 2016, and here we are about to breach 2021. I want to take a moment to reflect on the history of this comic, and what the future holds in store for those who are still interested after all this time. Despite beginning as an 'ask blog', Ask-Pink-Pony's focus steadily began to shift to pure narrative, eventually losing its 'ask' altogether, despite the tumblr account's name remaining unchanged. Building from answers to questions of why this depressed version of My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic's Pinkie Pie was so sad and alone, lore began to form as early as page 2, with page 3 explicitly stating how long it had been since she was kicked out of Ponyville (one year, nine months and fifteen days of real time since the release of the "Party of One" episode) and this
