Welcome again to part II of the Resources and Stock Images summary. We'll have a look at application resources, tutorials, fonts and other useful resources for you. Like in the stock category you must be the owner of the copyright or have a verifiable permission to offer it!
3D Models
These resources can be imported into a 3D modeling program like 3D Studio Max, Maya, etc. ; meaning, resources can't be JPEG.
Application Resources
These are developed for being used in specific software like Photoshop, GIMP, Cinema 4D and many others. They include brushes, actions, patterns, scripts and more.
Clipart
These pictures, buttons and other useful "precut" image files submitted by deviants for others to use in their own works. Things that do not belong in this category are precut PNG stock photos.
Designs and Patterns
These comprise variety of patterns for all kind of handiworks and crafting. It includes
- Beading & Jewelry Patterns: Downloadable beading and wire jewelry plans.:thumb308945060:
- Blueprints: Printable blueprint schematics for assembling woodcraft, floor plans, or other things which have blueprints.
- Needlework: Downloadable needlework and knitting patterns.
- Other: Other designs and patterns which do not fit into another Designs & Patterns sub category.:thumb338605457:
- Papercraft: Printable paper designs and patterns.
- Scrapbooking: Kits, packs and designs for use in either digital or traditional scrapbooking. Including but not limited to papers, embellishments, quick-pages, and more.
- Sewing Patterns: Downloadable sewing patterns for clothing, toys and other.
Fonts
Available in digital, downloadable form.
- Blackletter: Script based typefaces, also known as Gothic script, Fraktur, Old English, Gothic minuscule, or Textura.
- Chirographic: Typefaces based handwriting, calligraphy and penmanship. It includes:
- Calligraphic: Typefaces created by using calligraphic pens or brushes.
- Chancery: Hand written Serif fonts.
- Handwritten: Typefaces that give the impression of being written by hand. They mimic day-to-day writings, that can be achieved with a variety of pens and tools. Very often they display the actual hand-writing of the designer.
- Other: Typefaces created with paint or ink by using unusual tools. Anything that cannot be categorized to other Chirographic categories.
- Script: Elegant writing forms, giving the appearance of being written with a nib pen. They often contain swashes and various ligatures.
- Non-Western: for non-western writing systems, including Arabic, Chinese, Cyrillic, Greek, Hebrew, Japanese and other:thumb555950221:
- Other: fonts which don't fit in the other categories.
- Pixel: Typefaces based on Pixel Art. They are set to be used in a certain, predefined size, in which they have best readability and are displayed without distortion.
- Sans Serif: does not have extending features called "serifs" at the end of strokes. There are:
- Geometric:Constructed from geometric shapes, such as circles, triangles or straight lines. These Typefaces display little to none contrast between stroke directions, thus having no clearly visible axis and appearing rather mechanical almost mathematical.
- Grotesque:Grotesque Typefaces have less of a calligraphic influence, displaying a low stroke contrast. Their appearance can be described as robust and constructed.
- Humanist:These Sans Serif Typefaces have been developed under calligraphic influence, thus showing a moderate to high contrast between strokes and may even contain the suggestion of Serifs.
- Serif: small line attached to the end of a stroke in a letter or symbol.
- Geralde:The garaldes have finer proportions than the humanists, and a stronger contrast between downstroke and upstroke. The weight of the garaldes are distributed according to an oblique axis.
- Glyphic:High contrast between strokes using mostly unbracketed, technical serifs on a vertical axis.
- Humanist:These are the most calligraphic of the sans-serif typefaces, with some variation in line width and more legibility than other sans-serif fonts.
- Modern
- Transitional:The transitional, realist or réales are the typical typefaces of the traditional period.
- Slab Serif: Typefaces with rectangular and very often strong serifs.
