Germaine Xuang {Art Trade W/RogueKelsey}

Hey guys so I'm back with another drawing and yet another drawing that isn't Steven Universe related. I know I rarely do them and I should be doing normal art or art for another fandom more often and what not but since I have a bunch of Steven Universe Amino well let's just say I have to draw something Steven Universe related to stay relevant in my zone. Anyways enough of me rambling and what not let's get on with the drawing, so this drawing is an Art trade with the fabulous RogueKelsey "My Senpai"...hey not in a creepy way, my Senpai as in I love her artwork...anyways this is of her fabulous DND character Germaine Xuang. I have been doing my best to created this drawing and I really hope that this came out better than I see it. So let's get on to the details: For her Skin color I really can't do much since I have just pale oranges so I went with that, I tried to give it as much detail as possible like coloring it in a way that makes it more realistic. For her hair I just followed what RogueKelsey has done and try to imagine what it looks like when it's more flowy. For her dress I just can't find the right color, In my eyes I imagine it being a champagne color and so I tried to fine one as close as possible to that but all the brown colors I have doesn't have a champagne shade and instead have a more darker tone so I went with orange and you'll see why this is the worst decision ever when I correct it in digital. I also drew in the details which is what I mostly avoid in my drawings don't get me wrong I like giving my drawing details but less is more, also I literally forgot about the while ruffle ban on her clothing and you will see that I drew that when I digitalize it. Also her inner dress is more lighter than it should be. Any hearing what I just said above it sounds more like me struggling in every way possible but I hope that that is descriptive. OK now that I'm done explaining what goes through the process of me drawing it it's time to go on explaining more and more and more and more...but seriously though this is probably my longest blog ever by far of my stay in the amino land. Anyways I used Sketchbook for Galaxy App on the Galaxy Note 7 that I believe is a feature that is already implemented in the phone upon buying it that another piece of information is that I stole the phone from my grandpa for about a couple of hours yo correct the drawing. So what I have corrected during the digitalization is her eyes and gems, they appear more darker than IRL which you will see when I compare them so I gave them a little correction. Another thing that I mention above is that I drew in the white ruffle thingy which I forgot. For her skin I know that it's wrong but I can't find d the right skin to put in even if I just take it from RogueKelsey's drawing it just doesn't work out so I kept it like that. For the dress I took a brown color and reduce the opticity to 50% but to be honest it darken the dress more that it change the color. For the inner dress I put more of a intense Beige color o match the dress to the original but I just don't think it's the same. Also I played around with the light cuz I just can't resist basically I just coloring in a yellow line on the left hand side of her body in yellow 25% Opticity because of the fire background.
