UPDATE (May 8, 2018): The contest is over!
- - -
Using my Hybrid Neo-Gym Pokemon TCG Photoshop Template, make a Pokémon card featuring yourself as the Pokémon’s Trainer. (Read the "Notes/Tips" section in the template's description before using it.)
Deadline: May 7, 2018 (11:59 PM EDT)
Cards will be judged on their overall vibe, not just their artwork and/or creative effects. Spelling/grammar, fonts, and placement will also be considered to some degree.
Once the entries have been judged, the winner will be sent a custom holo Ancient Celebi card (pictured below) via mail.
This card was created for artistic purposes only and is not intended for use, sale, or trade. It features a standard card back, unlike the official Ancient Mew.

Battle for Celebi ResultsThe contest is over! It's a shame there weren't more entries, but I guess this makes judging easier.

Midnight-Quilla: There were some sizing issues with this one, both with the fonts and symbols. The attack costs don't bother me so much since they wouldn't have fit otherwise, but the WRRC symbols should've remained the size from the symbol sheet. Alignment could also use a little bit of work (especially on the info bar).
JustinNuggets: Great card! I love the rev-holo effect. Fonts and placement look good. Card number should be 6/200 instead of 006/200, but that's minor. The only thing I really think lets the card down is the pixel art in the evo bar. It's just a bit blurry and I feel slightly too small in relation to the circle. I don't recommend using pixel art on cards.
ChokaVonChicken: Mmm, jelly-filled donuts! I love how fun this card looks. It kind of reminds me of the fan-made cards featured in

Contest time! Who's in?
Using my Hybrid Neo-Gym Pokemon TCG Photoshop Template, make a Pokémon card featuring yourself as the Pokémon’s Trainer. (Read the "Notes/Tips" section in the template's description before using it.)
- One entry per person (your entry may be edited or replaced at any point before the deadline without penalty)
- All Pokémon (or Fakemon of your own design) allowed, excluding Legendaries/Mythicals and Megas
- Pick one of your favorites, a notable Pokémon you've actually used, or something you could imagine having on your team IRL!
- Shiny Pokémon are only allowed if you’ve encountered that Pokémon at full-odds in the games or pulled one from a booster pack
- Artwork, excluding evolution icon for evolved Pokémon, must be entirely your own (including the Trainer mug and Badge/emblem)
- This means no traced art, altered models, Trainer-builders, or stock backgrounds! (Your own photos are OK for backgrounds)
- If you want to draw the evolution icon yourself instead of using one by Ken Sugimori, that's fine too
- If you find making your Badge/emblem look 3D too difficult, 2D is fine (see Imakuni?’s Doduo)
- Try to stick to Neo-era wording and rulings (Pokémon are referred to by card name, Shiny Pokémon are Basic, etc.)
- Entries must be child-friendly (no nudity, profanity, gore, etc.)
- International contestants are welcome, but cards must be English for judging convenience
- Post a link to your completed card in the comments
A set symbol isn't required, but feel free to make your own or use the official Black Star Promo symbol (see official cards for scaling). Set number can be anything you like or you can delete it altogether. Rarity is recommended only if you use a set number in #/# format and should not be used with the Black Star Promo symbol.
If you don’t have access to Photoshop, let me know what template (Type and Stage) you need and I’ll send you a PNG blank compatible with most other graphics programs. Check the featured comment for a list of font names/sizes, the symbol sheet, and holosheet.

My top 3 favorite PKMN of each type (w/o repeats)
Dunsparce: Inspired by childhood memories of trying to evolve one into a Gligar in Silver Version and having recently learned about chaining, I decided to try my luck one Christmas when Dunsparce were swarming in Pearl. Despite having no repels or knowing all the tricks I know now, I got it on my first try! By sheer chance, it also had the perfect Nature-Ability combo (Adamant + Serene Grace). I waited until HGSS to start training him and considered him my “mascot” for years. Tyrogue: I like how it felt like a “secret” Pokémon in GSC/HGSS, tucked away in the depths of Mt. Mortar. Mothim: I adore moths IRL and spent nearly a year hunting my Shiny Mothim in HGSS. I consider it my "most prized" in-game Pokémon. Nidoran-M: Mostly because I found a Shiny one in Fire Red years ago (my first “cool” Shiny), plus I legit think it’s the cutest Poison-type. Sandshrew: My first toy from Burger King’s first movie promotion. Omanyte: I remember seeing a book

As a followup to my previous comment I do not think I am able to make a submission for reason of not having photoshop.
I do have the image but I have no way to make it into a TCG picture. SO, sadly I cannot join the poll.
