Goku, Vegeta and Future Trunks went to GT part 2.

So since Super's Universal Survival Saga is still going on, and the reveal of the Mastered version of Ultra Instinct has made things more complicated {thank you very much Toei, I needed this in my life right now} I'll be doing the GT and Future Trunks timelines first and the fallout if the trio's misadventures in time and space.

After their main timeline counterparts leave, Goku and the others continue their training both with each other and with Whis. At the moment all seems well, however there is something evil brewing in deep space. After grabbing Cell's hand back in the last chapter, Cooler instant Transmitted away to a Planet called "Planet Cold 84". There they are met by Sorbet and Tagoma whom are both surprised to see their leaders alive once more. Frieza throws Cell's hand into a Healing Chamber which is far more advanced than even the one in Revival of "F". This combined with Cell's already impressive regeneration abilities allows him to almost instantly regenerate, as well as receiving a Zenkai boost from his Saiyan Cells. He then exits the machine.

"Well that was most refreshing." Cell comments "Thank you for the save Frieza, although you cut it a bit close."

"Sorry, part of me was hoping that android would take care of Goku for us." Frieza told him frankly "But you are very welcome." Sorbet and Tagoma are horrified by the monster Frieza and his family have brought with them. Frieza then demands a full report. The two tell Frieza, Cooler and King Cold about the fractured state of the Planet Trade Organization, which angers them greatly. Cell on the other hand is coy and leans against a wall.

"Well what did you expect?" Cell comments "You left peons in charge."

Afterward, Frieza announces to his soldiers that he will not be satisfied until the Super Saiyans (Goku and Future Trunks) have both been killed. Tagoma then suggests that Frieza put his grudge against the Saiyans behind him and focus on reconstituting his empire. Taking this just about as well as expected, Frieza quietly, telepathically blasts Tagoma into a wall, expressing disappointment at the cowardice and insolence the Frieza Force has been reduced to. Frieza is then informed by Sorbet that Goku's power has surpassed that of even Majin Buu, which is far more than Frieza could have imagined. But due to him being a prodigy, Frieza believes that through four months of serious training, he will be able to reach a level of power high enough to wipe out the Saiyans in the blink of an eye, Cooler however suggests they train for a whole year. Giving them a further advantage. Frieza and King Cold reluctantly agree. Cell however is excited by the prospect. However he makes an odd request: he wants a section of Cooler's tail, which he agrees to. Cell uses his tail to absorb it and Cooler's DNA into himself.

For the next year, Frieza, Cooler, King Cold and Cell trained, sometimes using Sorbet and Tagoma as training partners. During training sessions with them, the four would beat them within an inch of their lives and then have them go heal up for the next days of training, allowing Frieza and his family to both get stronger, and let Frieza master his torturing-type fighting style, in order to allow him to fight Goku for as long as possible without killing him, in order to cause the Saiyan as much pain as possible. By the end of the year all of them have unlocked both the Fifth Form and Golden Form. Cooler, King Cold and Cell's Golden Forms all vary from Frieza's. Cooler had gold only on his head, chest, shoulder and leg bio armor as well as his tail. The rest of him was a platinum color except for his face, hands and feet which were purple. Cell's Golden form is the closest to Frieza's, being entirely Gold except for his hands face and any part of him that was black in his Perfect and Super Perfect forms. He retains the speckled pattern he had in those forms however and his wings now have gold trimming around them. King Cold's base form is as you'd think, a mix between Frieza and Cooler with his head being more like Frieza and a mostly purple body like Cooler with dark blue gems on his head and shoulders. He retains the pink ones on his arms and legs however, also he is as tall as his second form that we see in the Anime and Manga. His "Golden" Form remains mostly purple with the white parts becoming gold.

Frieza's Fifth Form is a cross between his Third Form, Base Form and 100% Form with some pieces from Cooler's Fifth Form. He has The Head shape of his Base Form, the Eyes, Face Mask and forearm spikes of Cooler's Fifth form, the height, shoulder pads and back spikes of his third form and the muscle mass of his 100% form. King Cold's has shorter but wider horns on his head and Spiky shoulder pads. Cell's Fifth form has a head that is a cross between his Imperfect Form and Cooler's Fifth form. He also has the same style body armor and height gain from Cooler since he absorbed that piece of Cooler's Tail and it was the first cell sample to have the Fifth Form.

So what have the Z Fighters in GT been up to since Future Trunks and DBS Goku and Vegeta left? Well Goku and Vegeta much like their main Timeline counterparts continued training, not just with Whis or each other but with all the other Z Fighters including 16 and 17. Whis has also been training the other Z fighters as well. When Future Trunks and DBS Goku and Vegeta left they were about equal in power to their GT counterparts and Gohan was as strong as the Gokus and Vegetas. Majuub after training with Whis and Elder Kai learned to unlock his full potential. This gives him when used an appearance similar to Kid Buu but with Majuub's Muscle Mass, clothes, face and hair and his mind stays intact. During the year a group of Dark Namekians came and used Earth's Dragon Balls to resurrect King Piccolo's spirit, then his body along with Lord Slug and the Mutant Namekians. Piccolo much like in Supersonic Warriors realizes he's not at his full potential at this time since it was his dad, not him that split from Kami. Piccolo gathers the Dragon Balls and has Dende let him use the last wish early to bring Guru and Old Kai there. Together they help him tap into more of his potential before Guru fuses with him before he can be returned to Otherworld. Piccolo trashes the Evil Namekians, forcing them to fuse together. Even this isn't enough as Piccolo still trashes them by himself and forces the fusion Dark Namekian to fuse with him using his body as the base. While chaotic it's a minor crisis that Piccolo deals with easily on his own. During this time Pan continues training and achieves Super Saiyan 3. Also Whis gathers the Black Star Dragon Balls and keeps them on Planet Beerus for safe keeping. By the time the Cold Family and their army return to Earth Everyone is far stronger than their DBS counterparts. To the point where Roshi and Yamcha could take out most of the army alone.

So after the bulk of the Army is dealt with, the last ones standing are Frieza, Cooler, King Cold, Cell, Sorbet and Tagoma. The battle Breakdown is thus:

Goku Vs.Frieza
Gohan Vs. Cell
Vegeta Vs. King Cold
Majuub Vs. Cooler
Piccolo vs. Sorbet,
Gotenks vs. Tagoma.

Goku fights Frieza in base form, much like in DBS, then Frieza uses his Fifth Form forcing Goku to become a Super Saiyan.

"I must agree with my brother." Frieza comments, "This is the form I remember you best. The one you used to defeat me so very long ago."

"You might be evil, but I'm impressed at how much stronger you've managed to get in just a year Frieza." Goku comments, highly impressed at how after decades of training Frieza managed to catch up in little over a year. As the Fight continues, Frieza reverts to Base before Transforming into his Golden Form which he's managed to perfect. Goku fights him in his Super Saiyan God form and quite easily keeps up. Frieza then Transforms into his Fifth Form while in Golden Form, Golden Fifth Form Frieza  quickly overtakes Super Saiyan God Goku. But he surprises Frieza with Super Saiyan God Super Saiyan, leveling the playing field.

Gohan doesn't even give Cell a chance to breathe, He immediately transforms into a Full Power Super Saiyan 2. He's not looking for a good fight like his father, he wants to be done with Cell since his presence brings back a lot of bad memories.

"Well well, it's good to see you haven't gone soft on me Gohan." Cell says to him "I would have been so disappointed if after all this time you had gotten lazy and slacked off." He continues, not knowing that Gohan had slacked off for a long time, only to get back into serious training after Pan was born.

"Your face has haunted my nightmares for way too long Cell!" Gohan tells him angrily "I'm taking you out for good this time!"

"What's the matter?" Cell responds "Still mad you couldn't save your daddy back in the Cell Games? That was entirely your fault you know." He continues "Instead of finishing me when you had the chance you got cocky your daddy paid the price for it."

"Don't try to get into my head, Cell." Gohan says to him "This time, is the last time!" he shouts, exchanging a flurry of punches and kicks with the Bio-Android. After a time Cell decides he's had enough games and transforms into his Golden "Perfect" form. Gohan goes Super Saiyan 4 briefly before going Super Saiyan God.

Vegeta and King Cold have a bit less interaction, however for Vegeta this is more about pride than revenge. Yes he'd love to get back at Frieza and his family for the destruction of Planet Vegeta and the decades of humiliation and servitude they put him through, but for him this is proving that he is a worthy heir to the Saiyan throne and his pride as The Prince all Saiyans. King Cold toys with the Saiyan Prince a bit, using his Third and Fourth/Base forms before going to Fifth Form. Vegeta transforms into a Super Saiyan 4 and beats the snot out of King Cold before Cold uses his Golden Fifth Form. At that point Vegeta transforms again into SSGSS Form and continues the fight.

Piccolo and Gotenks are more than a match for Sorbet and Tagoma. Gotenks while still cocky is older and more mature, while Piccolo, now beyond the full potential of the nameless Namekian has both the power and wisdom to defeat Sorbet. Now that isn't to say the duo are easily defeated, in fact the opposite is true; it's one of the toughest fights they've ever had. Gotenks manages to knock down Tagoma. He is temporarily knocked out, allowing Piccolo and Gotenks to team up on Sorbet and use a combination of Super Ghost Kamikaze Attack and Hellzone Grenade to kill him. Meanwhile Tagoma gets up and sees an odd looking frog with antennae. The Frog writes something in the dirt, and Tagoma reads it out loud: "Change". He was just tricked by Captain Ginyu into switching bodies with him. Ginyu announces his return and does a special pose in celebration for Frieza. Frieza then orders Ginyu to kill Piccolo and Gotenks, which he's more than eager to obey. Ginyu proves to be far more dangerous using Tagoma's body than Tagoma himself with better Ki control and superior martial arts knowledge and abilities. Ginyu puts up an excellent fight, but is outmatched by the similarly powered Gotenks and Piccolo. He then tries to switch bodies with Piccolo but Vegeta sees this and kills Ginyu with a Ki blast before Ginyu can make the switch.

Elsewhere Majuub and Cooler are fighting neck and neck in base form, each one testing the other's limits. Cooler smiles at Majuub.

"I'd expect nothing less from a student of Goku." He mentions "Reports say you're both the reincarnation and fusion partner of Majin Buu." He continues. "Father always told us to avoid fighting him., but how can you both be his reincarnation and fused with him?" he asks curiously.

"What can I say? I'm complicated." Majuub says with a smile, chuckling a bit and scratching his nose a bit.

"Really?" Cooler asks, Transforming into his Fifth Form "I want you to show me just how complicated you are!" Gotenks wants to join in the other fights but Piccolo tells him to hold up as his fusion is about to wear off.

"Awe man, already?!" Gotenks said disappointed. "I was just getting my groove on!" he shouts just before defusing back into Trunks and Goten. As the battle continues Cell finally pulls out his version of the Golden Fifth Form against Gohan, which he dubs as his "Ultimate Perfect Form". Cooler also transforms into his Golden Fifth Form, forcing Gohan and Majuub to transform into SSGSS and True Majin respectively. Seeing this form however causes King Cold to panic, he starts getting sloppy trying to rush defeating Vegeta. He is terrified of Majuub, which perplexes both his sons and Cell. But King Cold warned Frieza and Cooler to never fight Majin Buu for a reason: He had seen video footage of his ancestor's home world along with their mightiest warriors and then Emperor horribly atomized by Kid Buu. Seeing Majuub in this form with power comparable to his own, looking like Majin Buu gave him fear and dread he only ever knew with one other person: The God of Destruction himself; Beerus. Cell sees this and backs off.

"I think it's time we ended this idiocy!" Cell declares

"I highly agree." Cooler concurs "Seriously father you're embarrassing yourself!"

"So disrespectful!" King Cold Yells "Frieza remind me to punish him when we get back!"

"It will be my pleasure, father." Frieza replies. Together the four villains combine their powers to form a gigantic Super Nova attack. Goku and Vegeta see this and have Gohan and the others hold it off just long enough for them to fuse into Gogeta who then joins in the team attack with a concentrated, full power God version of Big Bang Kamehameha. Together they manage to push through and shatter the Family Super Nova created by the Cold Family and Cell. With this massive attack they are able to defeat all 4 of them at once, finally sending them back to Other World and Hell where they belong where they're taken into custody by the Hell Angels.

Back on Earth, after defusing, Goku congratulates everyone on a job well done. He tells them Gogeta alone would not have been able to stop that attack and that he's glad to have family and friends like them to help him when he needs it.
