Story:

A short, petite but muscled brunette in purple, gold and white racing silks walked up to Alexia. The blonde was staring at a white horse trailer, currently being unloaded. An orange toned Chestnut stallion by the name of MH The Long Run, covered in a purple and gold trimmed rug; stepped down the ramp. His ears swiveling and muzzle pulling on the leadrope his handler was using to control him. He’d never been a fan of being led, he usually followed anyway. He wasn’t your usual stallion, but he did have his moments.

The brunette jockey, Mika - glanced to Alexia. “Are you sure he’s ready?”

“Of course… Why wouldn’t he be?” She replied coldly to the jockey, arms crossed as she continued to watch her prized stallion inspect his new surroundings.

Mika stumbled over her words, “W-well… I uh…”

Alexia simply smirked, “Well, what?”

“I simply think, maybe… perhaps, he’s been off of the track too long?”

Alexia’s attention snapped directly to the jockey. “You know, just as well as I do, it does not matter much how long he’s been off the track, You yourself told me last week, that he was ready as he would ever be. Whether you were being snyd or serious, you said it. His trainer said it, the groom said it. I’ve said it.” She replied quietly, but quite seriously. “He has some very decent competition… The horses from White Blood Stables, always give him a run for his money. This race will tell us what’s in store for him in his five year old career. Especially since he’s never raced against Stryker.. He’s raced against Apocolyptic Ghost’s Grandmother, and didn’t do half bad. Lets see what happens.”

Mika simply nodded, not wanting to question Alexia at this point. It’s not like the horse was in serious danger of being injured to not being prepared. Mika knew the horse very well, they were the best team and that's why Alexia never let anyone else ride him. Long Run was well exercised and in proper shape to race. He was nearing the end of his four year old career, perhaps only a few more races lied available for him to enter before his five year old career began. He certainly had not achieved nearly what Alexia wanted him to by this point, but due to family deaths and trauma on her end, she was not able to give his career the attention it needed up until this point.

It came time for the horses to load up into the gate. Alexia was impressed with the small field. She was honestly surprised at this season, that the field was not larger... Giving a smile and good luck nod to the other owners about two seconds before the buzzer rIng and the gates opened, Alexia watched the horses spring from the gates...

“Let the games begin.” Alexia mumbled under her breath, while simultaneously holding it. Even if he took third, also known as last place in this race… She would be content, These were some amazing horses.
