The air felt quiet on that day, and Barin was not liking what he felt. It felt ominous, and there was a chill going down his spine. He didn’t know what to think, as his mind was distracted with the sound of bushes rustling in the distance.

Barin walked into the clearing, seeing the rogue by himself. “I’m going to have to ask you to leave, you’re trespassing.” Barin’s voice was stern and calm, as he came closer to the rogue.

The rogue didn’t seem all too phased by Barin’s presence, and started to smirk as the Delta Warden came closer. “We have a better idea.” Out of nowhere, three more rogue surrounded Barin, clearly intending for him not to escape.

Barin was in danger, and he knew that he had the disadvantage now. He may have been big like his father, but even he was unsure if his father could take on four rogues at once. “The One help me.” Barin whispered in a prayer, before the first two rogues grasped their teeth into Barin’s neck, drawing blood within seconds.

Elsewhere near the border, oblivious to the struggle, Elias wandered with his friends in good spirits. “I’m telling you, Dee. It doesn’t really work that way. I don’t sense any sort of magical bobcat around here. I don’t even sense the regular kind!”

"Come on, Eli", she laughed for the first time in days, "I am sure you can find it. I've faith in you!" If anyone could find Danny's weird creatures, if they existed even, it was him.

Today Dee and her sister had joined two other youngsters among the generation of Aryn. Frankly, it was quite the change of air and their journey was quite amusing. While she lost belief in her sister's stories, they were fun to listen to and surely fun to chase the creatures she came up with. So, Dee had thought to drag along poor Elias. He was known to be able to sense other beings.

Rag rolled his eyes good naturally and snorted. “Yea, Eli use your magic already! I wanna see if the wish thing is true!” he joked, nudging Eli’s shoulder good naturally.

Eli threw a faux pout in the direction of his companions, but quickly reverted to a playful smirk. “It’s not magic. It’s a Voice. I don’t have any control over when they speak to me.” He nudged Ragnarok back with a chuckle. “Really though, a little cat that collects shiny rocks and grants wishes?” He wasn’t sure he believed it, but it was an exciting tale, and the young wolf wouldn’t mind being surprised.

Daenerys walked alongside her friends, listening to their skepticism with ears pricked forward. She raised the inner parts of her brows in a plea for trust from the group, “Aw come on guys, trust me! There’s been indisputable proof!” She pranced forward ahead of the group, a large smiling dawning across her face in determination to find this creature she seemed so confident in.

Barin’s body slammed onto the ground from the four wolves. The first one stood right above his head, as the other three pinned him down to the ground. “I think it’s time to teach this idiot why you shouldn’t mess with us. Let’s rip his ears off.”

Barin’s eyes shot wide open as he thought about what was about to happen. A shot of adrenaline coursed throughout his body. He wasn’t thinking of how bad his ear would look, nor the pain he would get from his ears being ripped off. Only one thought repeated in his head. “Mom will kill me if she sees me with no ears.”

Barin then used all his might, to push the three wolves off of him. He then dove right at the head rogue, before the other three grasped his fur. The pain was immense once again, with Barin shouting in pain, but knowing that he couldn’t give up now, or else he would surely die.

It kicked him like a wild beast, the sudden and undeniable sensation of dread. Something is wrong. Eli’s eyes widened as he considered their surroundings. The peaceful forest felt… dangerous. Darker. But why? What was this premonition? The conversation of his peers grew indistinct and Elias stopped in his tracks behind them. This couldn’t be about the bobcat... He beseeched the One for guidance, a sense of desperation twisting in Eli’s gut.

Stopping just a few seconds after Elias, Dee turned her head towards him, "What's wrong, Elias?" If she would have been younger, without all those bad experiences, she would have remarked his halt with a joke, that he had finally sensed the bobcat. Though, she knew this look. It was haunting, it screamed of danger. "Oh no, please, not again...", were the only thoughts that coursed through her head. She had finally been able to rest and relax and now it was the same thing all over.

The words stopped him in his tracks and he turned to look at dee. Elias was frozen in his place. Rag turned to his friend and nudged him. “Hey you ok? Talk to me Eli.” Ragnarok said gruffly, hair standing on his shoulders as he began scanning the area.

Their voices broke through the haze bit by bit, and Tzuri’s son blinked as he realized the others had stopped. What could he say? He’d never felt a call like this before. Even the ghosts could not instill such mortal fear. Still that sense of impending danger roiled through him, demanding response. Fight or flight. Fight! But what? Elias bristled, shaking his head slowly and looking to the ground, “I… we have to…”

Please, Great Spirit!

"What, what do we have to do? Elias, talk to us, please..." Her anxiety level was rising rapidly. Just as she had thought she could trust in Aryn and its safety again. She hurried to Elias' side and slowly nuzzled his chin softly up to his cheek, hoping to get him 'back'. He seemed out of it, like his mind was somewhere else. Maybe physical contact could help him grasp reality again. She couldn't protect them from physical harm, how should she be able to protect them from something she couldn't even grasp, tackle or bite?

Folding hear ears back, she looked to the others, still in body contact with Elias, though, "What should we do? Something doesn’t seem right..."

Daenerys turned, watching as Elias stood there while the others tried to understand why he froze with such fear. Her ears flickered as her brow furrowed in calculation, “His Voice... Something is wrong.”

She turned herself once more, sniffing off the track with ears pricked forward in alert until she stopped in her tracks, hearing the muffled screaming in the distance. “We have bigger worries than the bobcat, Brothers, let the One be with us.” With a strong huff, her muscled vaulted her out in the direction of the cries, her legs carrying her toward them as her mind prepared itself for the scene.

Rag watched the scene, ears flipping and switching hair on end when the scream reached them. Muffled and full of fear. It made his eyes widen. That was him at some point. No one will feel like him. He turned and flew after Danny, taking the lead.

At the cries, Elias’s gaze shot up. Someone was - in pain! They needed help! And he knew then as surely as he knew the Voice, the terror in his heart was from this. The young wolf lurched forward unsteadily, desperation driving him to act. He staggered, nearly fell-

“Stay close and behind. I’m more disposable then the royals of Aryn. Come on guys! Shift your paws.” Ragnarok calles over his shoulder, giving Danny a grimace as he lead the way, following the screams as they got louder and louder.

"Royals?" Was the only thing Dee could reply, albeit a bit confused, as she tried to run after her sister and Ragnarok. Though, she turned her head back just in time to catch Elias with one of her back legs. Paw pushing against his chest, preventing him from falling, "Are you alright? Let's hurry!"

With that she kept pace with Eli, continuing to sprint after the others. Inwardly, however, she grumbled. Her sister, who had tackled her to the ground for being reckless not so long ago, was doing the same thing right now. Thank The One or whomever, that Rag managed to keep up with her.

Rag ran harder, ears pinned back, missing Dee’s words as the screams became louder. Barin? Screeching to a halt, coming face to face with the situation at hand, he Faced Danny real quick.

“Wait for your sister and Eli! He needs help now.” With a snarl he launched into the fray.

Daenerys came to a stop when Ragnarok did, shifting her gaze from the fight to him as he instructed her. “Wait? Wh-” before she could finish explaining herself, he had jumped into the scene. She gazed upon the fight, more loners here than her previous encounter, but she was more collected than before.

Shifting her paws in climax she raised her maw in the air, sounding a deep, though immature howl in hopes someone would hear and come to aid the fledglings, before she lunged herself into the brawl, as well.

The scene Eli and Dee came upon was like something out of a nightmare. Blood was in the air, and not from prey. Streaks of red ran down Barin’s fur. The apprentice Warden was nearly unrecognizable in the chaos of the fight. Eli gaped in horror at the gruesome spectacle. Such blatant hatred - why? What were these strangers after!

“S-stop this!” The juvenile demanded, adrenaline coursing through him like an electric pulse. He lunged at one of the outsiders that seemed to be gaining an advantage on Barin, trying to pull the attacker off. But Elias’s teeth were clumsy, untrained. And the rogue would not be deterred.

Please, Great Spirit, do something!

The rogues were biting and clawing on Barin’s body, blood was streaming down his body from cuts, and he was practically unable to fight back, apart from a few cuts on their faces. The lead rogue was about to strike at Barin’s neck, but did not expect was struck him on the shoulder.

The rogue looked down, to see a young wolf trying to bite down hard on his shoulder. “Well look what we got here?!” The rouge immediately threw Elias off his body with ease. He was now focused on the young male, as another rogue became occupied by Rag’s actions.
