~update~ (TLDR: feel like entrance exam went ok)

update on the stuff from this thing:


The exam went fine I think??? Like, I managed to do what I wanted to get done,, and I feel like it was the best I could draw at that moment in time. So if I don't make it, it's entirely because it was //not meant to beeee//
Also, there were so many people there gosh dang.

No idea if we'll get the drawings sent back, but I won't be surprised if I'll never see those again.

I'll quickly go through the assignments
1. 3 hours 30 min, character animation: here's a branch, here are some drawings and anatomy info on gorillas,, draw one standing on the branch looking to the horizon - then swinging to advance - then jumping "into the void". You can draw multiple poses on a page, and you can trace the branch on blank paper.
I probably drew 13 poses across 7 pages?
And in hindsight, this was a really lucky subject for me. No, I have never drawn a gorilla or an ape before, but... humanoid anatomy on non-human creatures??? have you seen my gallery????? yes please, thank you

The second assignment for that first block was: here's a line drawing of a small rickety storage room to a supermarket or smth - draw the opposite view of it.
I'm not comfortable with architecture, interior rooms even less so. But alas I did my best, and I think it turned out fine,,

2. 1 hour lunch-break later, another 3 hours 30 min:
here's a scene from Ulysses and the trojan horse - design the characters and backgrounds - draw a storyboard with 10-30 drawings. No color, has to feature at least half of the story, it's ok if you couldn't finish all of it.

I was certainly a bit unsure about that first part. The scene starts at the moment where Ulysses gets the horse-idea, and stops when the Trojans start investigating the horse, suspicious, and the soldiers inside the horse get nervous.
Now, what characters do you design, when there's only one person called by name? I drew some fullbody shots of the dude, and some armor/clothing design. To fill things up a bit, I made some horse variations?
For the storyboard, I drew 15 images, I certainly could've done more if I planned it out more closely,, there are probably some parts I went too minimalist on?? but I might not have finished in time otherwise.

(and after the 10th drawing, I also felt my focus starting to slip :'D the first 3 images def. looked better rendered than the last 3)

WHAT NOW THOUGH, the results will come out at the end of this month, I'll do another update then.
BUT that only means, I'll be accepted to partake in the next part of the whole ordeal: the oral exam (presenting my portfolio, a pitch for an original animation project, and my motivation/all that jazz)
