ZDARLOCH SEJRBANK'S MEDICAL NIGHT SHOW
Deadline: July 1st
Now closed for judging ^^
Following 7 years of Medical School, a wide range of clinical internships, countless hours spent cold-sweating over text books, many a night's sleep lost over the research on dimethyl fumarate-induced lymphopenia in relapse-remitting multiple sclerosis patients and many a teeth-gritting moment contemplating the frustrating beauty of the natural sciences in all their logically illogical beauty, it is finally happening...
...Zoub will (hopefully) graduate this summer and venture forth into the world as a clueless young medical doctor, ready to disappoint her superiors and patients
I will be starting my residency period this October in my favourite specialization of all: Neurology, the study of brains and nerves.
To mark this grand event I am formally writing you all a prescription to party: come join the fun at

. . . . . . . . . . .
Sejrbank A/S and Sejr Kapital: the current financial backbone of Zdarloch Sejrbank. Investment bank and holding company owned by Simon Kvark's family.
Goldenzymes: (mainly) Pharmaceutical company, owned by the Goldenweisers ...because what's a medical theme without a Big Pharma corporation to pay for everything? ...jk.
The Zlesdin Association: My breed group - Zdarloch Sejrbank are the official importers of the breed.
C O S T U M E - H A L T E R
. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .
Concept: Show off your horse, but do it in style! You must incorporate the medical theme into a costume. Handler does not need to be shown but will earn you extra points.
Setting: The indoor arena at Zdarloch Sejrbank. It's afternoon outside, a bit cloudy but with occasional sunrays shining through the grey above. The arena is decorated to fit the theme.
The indoor arena - marked as B5 on the MAP
Restrictions: No age limit for horse or rider (but foals should be shown with their dams).
Garb: MUST wear appropriate halter/bridle (does not apply to foals). Must be dressed in a costume that fits the theme.
S H O W - J U M P I N G
. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .
Concept: Regular show jumping class - jumps should have a medical theme; be it X-rays, bones, syringes, hospital beds, CT-scanners, stethoscopes, microscopes, surgery tools... go nuts! Perhaps -instead of water- the water jump contains other fluids? Be as morbid as you like
Setting: The outdoor arena at Zdarloch Sejrbank. Evening is setting (your choice of sunset, twilight or darkness) and a bit of light rain may be found. The arena is decorated to fit the theme.
The outdoor arena - marked as F1 on the MAP
Restrictions: Horse age 4 or above. No age limit for rider.
Garb: Horse MUST wear leg protection. Boot bells, martingales, huts etc are optional and permitted. Saddle pad colour optional. All bits (and no-bits) allowed. Rider MUST wear a helmet. Extra cool if horse and rider are dressed up to fit the theme
L A B C O A T - D R E S S A G E
. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .
Concept: A dressage test like you know them - but the rider MUST wear a white labcoat (preferably short-sleeved). What they wear underneath the labcoat is optional, be it scrubs, civilian clothes or whathaveyou.
Fit difficulty level to something that makes sense for the horse's age - I don't want to see 4-year olds in piaffe, for example
Setting: The indoor arena at Zdarloch Sejrbank. It's dark and rainy outside. The lights in the arena have been dimmed as well, but a stage light will follow the rider/horse around. The arena is decorated to fit the theme.
The indoor arena - marked as B5 on the MAP
Restrictions: Horse age 4 or above. No age limit for rider.
Garb: Rider MUST wear a white labcoat. Horse must wear a white saddle pad. Huts are permitted. No leg protection allowed. Mane must be braided. Must be 6+ years to wear a double bridle. Further incorporation of the medical theme in their tack/garb is optional but encouraged.
A M B U L A N C E - C R O S S - C O U N T R Y
. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .
Concept: An endurance/cross-country combination. Essentially, you are an 'ambulance' for this discipline.
Rider and horse will have flashing blue lights + a siren attached to them -- so pick a horse with strong nerves for this discipline (or face the consequences). The goal is to get from Point A to Point B, pick up a doll (your 'patient') and return it to Point A as swiftly as possible. The course will have typical cross country jumps scattered in between longer stretches of flat country.
Setting: The fields/forests surrounding Zdarloch Sejrbank. It's DARK. A light drizzle may be encountered and the ground is muddy. The course will be marked with discreet LED lights so you don't get lost and the jumps will be illuminated (no surprises or traps). You can draw any point of the course.
Restrictions: Horse must be older than 4. Riders above 13 yrs.
Garb: MUST wear the flashing blue lights (should be visible in entry). Leg protection for horse required. Boot bells, martingales, huts etc are optional and permitted. Saddle pad can be any colour. Any bit or non-bit may be used. Rider garb optional (you can wear the ambulance colours/insignia of your home country for extra awesomeness. Don't drop your patient
