Some plains art and my entry for the raffle!

Melena wanders into the plains. There are grasslands as far as she can see. Acres of grass wave in the wind like a golden ocean. Beautiful prairie flowers pull her in and she lazily drifts from one new bud to the next like a drunk butterfly. After a few hours of walking she starts to become uncomfortable with the direct heat from the sun. Even in the shade she can feel heat rise and the dryness of the plains get to her. She decides to try and find home. Melena tries to retrace her steps but everything looks generally the same around her. Lost she wanders into an area with a few trees and seeks shelter from the little shadows they provide. Suddenly she spots another Esk. Melena has never seen another one like her so she's a little hesitant at first and pretends to not see her. Especially since the shroud over the stranger's face seems spooky. Slowly she reaches out with her mind to connect. One step at a time she also walks closer and her foot plops into the marsh. The floor is water! Startled she backs up. Maybe she should wait for the water walking Esk to approach her. After all, she doesn't know how deep this marsh runs.
