After some thinking I decided to give CenturyARkStorm-OCT a shot, but as a spectator rather than a competitor. I don't think it would be wise to combine something as time-consuming as a original character tournament with graduating from art school! XD Nevertheless I'm very exited where the story will take us! I didn't know anything about Zoids before Ra-ooo started this OCT, but as soon I found out it included robot dinosaurs I was sold!
Then there is Comic Con Amsterdam, where I'll have a stand with two friends. I plan to draw a few new things for that, but not too much. I still have plenty of prints left from my previous con left anyway!

Newsletter
One of my goals this year was to start a newsletter. I’ve been brainstorming and researching this idea for a while now, but last month was the time to actually do it! I just forgot to mention it here, haha. Why a newsletter? Isn’t that old-fashioned? The main reason is that I have much more direct contact with people than any social media platform can give me. With a newsletter I don’t have to worry about changing algorithms that make my posts less visible. Email is also decentralized: it doesn't matter which email provider I'm using, I can always reach you on your address. Social media platforms have come and gone, but email is still going strong after 51 years. Granted, you will have to trust me with your email address, but unsubscribing is as easy as unfollowing me. :) What can I expect? blows the dust from the table So far being more active this year, huh? Well, I think nobody's 2020 went as planned! I wasn't active at all here on DeviantArt. The last few years I've always felt like I only came back for Inktober, but looking at the last pieces I've uploaded that's not completely true. :D I think I should stop fighting the urge to try and keep up all social media accounts - I've struggled with this for years and I still haven't found a way to deal with it comfortably. It feels saddening to not be very active on this site anymore, but a lot of people I followed dearly have moved to other platforms too. Hello 2020, hello new decade!
Hi guys! First of all, all the best for 2020! Hope you all had a lovely Christmas and New Year’s Eve! :D 2019 has been the year I graduated from art school, participated in the Global Game Jam and was part of the Zelda Anthology book, though that project was sadly cancelled. I also started as a freelance illustrator right after graduation, and got a gig as a concept artist for a VR game! Hopefully I can tell you show and tell you more soon, for now everything is under NDA. :) I opened an Etsy shop as well as continuing my convention practices, though I'm not sure if I want to continue the path of creating as much fan art as possible to sell at such conventions - I'd like to research ways to focus more on personal work. :/ I also travelled an awful lot this year: 10 days to Morocco, four days to St. Petersburg, three weeks to the US and a family trip to Switzerland - I had more flights this year alone than in the past ten years of my life! o.0 So bizarre!
