The Short-tailed chinchilla is also know as the Royal Chinchilla due to its luxurious fur that is in high demand in the fur industry, 
whose demand has led to the Chinchillas to become highly endangered in the wild. 
Due successful reproduction in captivity, their species is somewhat surviving.
 Fully grown chinchillas are between 28-49cm long and weigh around 1-1.4kg.


The Long-tailed chinchilla or Chilean Chinchilla is much smaller than its Cousin the Short-Tailed Chinchilla, also known as Royal Chinchilla.
 Fully grown wild ones are only about 26cm and 500g while domesticated pet chinchillas can get weigh up to 800g! T
heir scientific name Chinchilla lanigera, means "bearing a woolen coat", despite this name the Long-tailed Chinchilla does not have a woolen coat, 
but instead one consisting of hair. Their coat is silky and extremely soft Unlike the short-tailed chinchilla, the long-tailed live in much harsher climates ranging from +30C to below freezing,
 with their fur acting as protection from both heat and cold.

Chinchillas burrow under rocks or in the ground for shelter, mostly living in cold climates of the Andes Mountain range, staying warm with their dense fur. 
They are very social animals that live in herds and they get usually small litters of one or two offspring which ensures a healthy growth for the herd.

Pink Venus Peony have lavish pastel pink blossoms and a fragrance that will lure you in. 
Peonies are incredibly durable with with very few natural enemies in flora and fauna. 
The Peony plant is somewhere between 25-100cm and has a glossy, deep green foliage.

Peonies have been known to be used as tea, spice, sallad and even medicine. It is a very versatile flower.
It has a wide range of meanings in culture and flower language, ranging from royal meanings of riches and honour to housing nymphs of shame and bashfulness
