Description
An unseen caster wields his wand
Summoning me from the waters
Conjured within his cup
To mimic the briny seas
His words no not entrance
His demeanor does not enhance
And so I plot my sleepy revenge
For having woken me for naught
And hidden wisdoms having sought
Before they were duly earned
Soon, my lesson he will have learned.

The ink image and poem above were written for the fourth #inktober prompt, "Spell" in the #inktober2018 challenge. This too will go into the fourth edition of Mythical Minstrelsy once the full year's worth is completed and set up for print and ebook.
The previous images for the challenge have all thus far been in the ink cartridge that came with my Pilot Cavalier medium point fountain pen. Today I decided to mix things up with a little color. I pulled out the box of Cra-Z-Art ink markers that I have been using in some of my illustration work with PenIt Publications. They act a little dry on the mixed media paper so instead of an even color I went for making the "darkness" sort of half colored to attempt a shifting "not quite right" feel to underline the story in the accompanying poem.
I see I forgot to sign this one too. Whoops.
