The Pone Wars 7.25: Clear as Smooze

I should emphasize that Rarity isn't just making this stuff up: as she pointed out, Skywishes should have become a princess years ago, and the fact that she hasn't yet is definitely suspicious (SUSPICIOUS!!). Of course, there's no hard science to when an apprentice becomes an alicorn; some require a few decades of training, some only take a few years, and a couple have done it without being trained at all, but nearly 60 years as an apprentice is unprecedented.  And we've established that Rarity only sees what she wants to see. Despite their loud and violent disagreements, it's never even occurred to her that forthright, honest Applejack might actually be the evil mastermind; whereas Twilight, who forgets basic friendship lessons any time the episode's plot requires it, doesn't have a colossal blind spot obscuring her behavior.

Of course, Rarity has a few skeletons in her own armoire, some of which may start coming out in the next issue.

I spent a huge amount of time (relatively speaking) turning Luna's chariot into a speeder, and you hardly get to see it
