Liam is... certainly a character. He's difficult to miss, even in crowds -- he's loud, boisterous, and he loves being in the spotlight. He's friendly to every individual he meets for the first time and he can be a rather charming man. He radiates positive energy and humor that belies his older age, but all of his excitement is able to simmer down when needed and he becomes a warm and fatherly figure. He's protective of his loved ones, and he enjoys doing what he can to support them and their happiness. He rarely shows his soft side to those outside of his family, but his gentle nature peeks out more often than not.

Despite his bold personality, he's not very authoritative or independent. Liam isn't the best at being decisive and isn't good at making hard decisions, and he will shy away from taking command of things -- he's well aware he's not great at playing leader. He relies on those around him to take charge when things get difficult, or less he'll flounder on his own. When faced with choices, he doesn't think things through and goes with his gut instinct. And most likely, it's the poorer option in the long run. Liam is often too caught up in the moment to predict the consequences of his actions.

That does not mean he's ignorant of them, though. While he can't help his finicky behavior, he's sensitive to their outcomes and how he affects others and, in turn, how they think about him. His missteps or failures weigh heavy on him and he finds it difficult to forgive himself. It doesn't help that he's not very brave -- in fact, he would rather run away from his problems than to face them head on. Confrontation terrifies him, as it would just remind him of his mistakes. Liam's anxiety can hold him back from doing the things needed to resolve his issues and creates a vicious cycle that's tough to crack.

However, he's currently learning to do better. Be better. Liam deeply appreciates his loved ones and he is determined to conquer himself and be there for his family.

After Nicole's passing, however, he entered a deep depression that impacted his connections with Stevie and Oskari. It was only until meeting Sooni that he began to recover his relationship with his family. After the disaster, Liam and Sooni traveled to find their family, accidentally bearing a child along the way, and decided to join the guild to aid with their efforts.
