{+2 Bones} - Calumina

Finally finished another MSE! The last one I did was back in October I believe? Oops. But here we are with Cal's poster!

I feel like much of Calumina's drive comes from her desire to prove herself and overcome the severe adversity she faces as a lowblooded member of Highvalley, so I thought "Rise" would be a fitting title for her would-be book/movie. My girl's a fighter, for sure. And, of course, she also lives for those she cares about, and there are few wolves she cares more deeply for than Yuaei and Mo <3 So, I went ahead and included them too, along with some fancy effects! I wanted them to appear like they're in Cal's mind's eye? Like a visualization of what she's thinking about, or something similar? Anyway, that's why I tried to show how they're "connected" to her with the glowing bits. It's also why you can see through them just a little haha

@ Tazi & Tama: hope you two don't mind that I borrowed your wonderful characters! I can never pass up the opportunity to draw them xP

Cinder, this piece is absolutely gorgeous, and I'm very sorry for the late comment. Initially mobile had eaten it and I got frustrated and realized I had never communicated just how much this means to me ;-;

Calumina looks absolutely stunning and impossibly beautiful in this piece. I really admire that her strength doesn't come from masculinity, but her femininity. It's so rare to see in general and I just love how you've developed a strong truly female protagonist, and it's just really inspiring <3

And Mo and Yuaei, they look absolutely perfect in your style ;-; I LOVE the magical dust that floats around them, in Cal's mind's eye and matching their own eye colors, it's such a unique, gorgeous touch! They almost look like the angel and devil on Cal's shoulders (which nearly fits so perfectly with her current feelings of the Havirian Ades ;-;)

Every piece you make is filled with so much life and narrative, that's one thing that's really hard for artists to capture and it's so prevalent in your work. Thank you so much for drawing my gruff boy, I'm so honored he plays such an important role in Cal's story <3
