  Update of THE SHELTER PROJECT 2019, and Beyond
Thank you so very much for being here. "THE SHELTER PROJECT" has just entered it's 9th year. There have been some changes with the humane society itself, and also with "THE SHELTER PROJECT".  I would like to do something different this time- go against my nature, and BEGIN with the products you can purchase to help the animals with medical needs, and THEN go into some of the other aspects of the PROJECT. So, first the Photo Products, and then the Jewelry Products.

The Life of a ShadowDawn
Any decent Shadow’s work begins at daybreak, following the form of “Master” to which it is tied. With the dawn I revive from my feinted slumber like clockwork, reacting to the sensation of sunlight bearing down. My body boils down to form, each shadow cell destructing just as yours did in our mother’s womb. Though I am barely a whisper as you let loose a raging cascade of noise, we are a perfect match; thrust into this world of light and meant to be together forever.
Morning
Some might think me a pest by mimicking your actions, friend, as perfectly as I do. A silent guardian, a petite angel bounding along lightly at your side among hills and valleys as you carry such a heavy burden in the morning sun. I like to think us companions, you and I – living the same life side by side. Each morning we dress from the dark closet in the furthest corner of the room, sift through the refrigerator for something to eat, and put on shoes before setting out into the  Cross-Dimensional Tricks and Treats (1)
The sweet aromas of sugar and butter flavor the air. High white ceilings and an almost inconveniently spacious hotel suite, tastefully decorated with modern furnishings in shades of black, white, and beige, make pointedly obvious the clashing neon and ultraviolet colors often used in the Halloween decorations currently placed throughout the room. 
"Hurry—the party is starting soon," Zilpha croons. She flits around the fully stocked kitchen in a huge black wig and gravity-defying low-cut, slitted black dress that're instantly recognizable to anyone who's ever come across a late-night horror film.
The scents of baked goods clings to Zilpha's turkeylike feathers, an aroma that's only gotten more delicious over the course of her various attempts at the many recipes she finds online. Balanced in her hands is a huge platter overflowing with cat, ghost, pu  Kawena Volume 1 Child of the Sky Part 1Teacher once told me, “There’s no difference between water and air.”
Just like then, I have always found his words to be true.
Whether it’s weightless wind threading my wings or water cupped in my webbed fingers as I propel through that dense world… in both water and air I always feel at home, and hardly recognize the moment when I traverse that line.
In the glittering slate-gray lake beneath me dozens of fish swished their tails back and forth in unhurried rhythm. They swam unaware of me hovering not too far above them in flows of wind so persistent I needed to only shift a single feather to hold myself steady in flight.
My pale grey reflection, covered almost entirely in the skins and scales of the very same sort of fish swimming the pocket of water below, was pierced only by a pair of vibrant golden eyes staring back at me as though I too were a fish being hunted. Instead of a tail or fins though, a long braid of silverblue hair lashed the air and occas
