A bit about Dards backgroundstory and Character:

Dard was brought up as a child to be a "beast".

When his father realized that he doesn't has any empathy in his body, he punished him hoping to profit from that.

His father hit him regularly with his hands, a belt or a whip. During his father's "chastisements", Dard always had to tie a red cloth around his eyes.
This left traces. On his body as well as on his mind. Since then, he quickly loses control of himself when he sees the color red.
Dard likes to hurt himself and others.
When a wealthy wanderer noticed this, he saw great potential in it. He bought Dard from his father for a few gold coins. His loyalty came from the promise of the wanderer, that Dard would cause pain to others throughout his whole life from now on.
Later he became known as the "beast of the king". In the name of the king and because of his lust for torture, he became the most feared hangman in the whole country. He tortured and killed whoever his king called him.

In spite of his character, he seems to others charming and almost chubby until he has them in his clutches.
His favorite weapon is a executioner's ax that the king gave him for his services. (on the ax are the latin words "bestia doleo" engraved. That means something like: "The beast of pain")

Ein bisschen über Dards Vergangenheit und Charakter:

Dard wurde bereits als Kind dazu erzogen eine "Bestie" zu sein. Als sein Vater feststellte, dass er von Geburt an nahezu empathielos war, bestrafte er ihn in der Hoffnung daraus profit zu schlagen.
Sein Vater schlug ihn regelmäßig mit den Händen, einem Gürtel oder einer Peitsche. Während der "Züchtigungen" seines Vaters musste Dard immer ein rotes Tuch um die Augen binden. Dies hinterließ Spuren. Auf seinem Körper wie auch auf seinem Geist. Seither verliert er schnell die Kontrolle über sich wenn er die Farbe rot sieht.
Dard mag es sich selbst und anderen Schmerz zu zufügen.
Als ein reicher Wandersmann dies bemerkte sah er darin großes Potential für sich. Er kaufte Dard seinem Vater für ein paar Goldmünzen ab. Seine Treue erhielt er durch das Versprechen, dass Dard sein ganzes Leben lang Anderen Schmerzen zufügen dürfte.
Später wurde er mit dem Namen "Bestie des Königs" bekannt. Im Namen des Königs und durch seine Lust am Foltern wurde er zum gefürchtetsten Henker im Ganzen Land. Er folterte und tötete wen immer ihn sein König nannte.
Trotz seines Characters wirkt er auf andere charmant und fast kumpelhaft, bis er sie in seinen Fängen hat.

Seine Lieblingswaffe ist eine Henkersaxt, welche ihm der König für seine Dienste schenkte. (Auf der Axt sind die lateinischen Wörter "bestia doleo" eingraviert. Das bedeutet grob übersetzt: "Die Bestie der Schmerzen")
