It was made to look like a shoe site! The reviewer tried to purchase something and was lead on a never ending loop. In the end, he decided not to finish the purchase, due to fear of having credit card information stolen! You can read his story on Scamadvisor! Why is a "shoe site" even selling stolen art? That is the question and in all honesty, I'm equally confused as you yet the proof is right here...
The images that were stolen were quite random. They have memes, official Dragon Ball Z preview pages scanned from magazines, random individual's artwork and comic pages. I personally think, they were targeting artist with small following or ignored drawings. They probably thought it wouldn't be found or not be considered a big deal, since the art is old OR not popular. If not, they can blow it over by giving credit to the artist right?! Yeah, it doesn't work that like that. How do I feel? At first, I was understandably angry but after a few days, my anger turned into amusement because I can't imagine anyone actually falling for this. Looking at the dramatic price cuts on this site, I don't think a lot of people have. Still, I want my drawing taken down because I want nothing to do with this site.
This hasn't demotivated me from drawing in the slightest, and this will be the last huge post I make about this subject.

But, this shows that learning the laws that protect you is important.
Also learning the names of attorneys specializing in copyright doesn't hurt either.
