"A magical battle?" Darcy was intrigued by the show. But she wasn't really pleased at the thought of putting father against son. It wasn't her idea, granted, it had actually been Pete's. Of course Oreji would never hurt his son, so it was worth the risk, and at the same time they could show off their two Dicogans. Or so had been Pete's argument, when Darcy questioned his suggestion. But here they were, at last, in Eurion, ready to perform. It wasn't Oreji's first ride to a show like this, so Darcy wasn't worried about him. It was the little one that she was a bit concerned for.

After a long grooming for the pair, she gave each of them a piece of carrot before it was their turn. "Do well" and then she took off both of their halters before stepping out of the pasture where it would take place.

Darcy had previously explained the general concept to her bonded, Oreji, and he was now preparing himself to execute the idea. He turned to his son and motioned to begin crafting each their piece of magic. Oreji slowly was calling for some remaining storm clouds that had been lingering around from other Thunder Icogans, and collected them above their heads. He was concentrating, and to his surprise, it began lightly raining.

It was Ríoghnán that had been focussing on producing rain. Though his magic was still very young and still object to emotional swings, Reese managed to collect some of the falling rain and began to form some shapes in the air around him.

And suddenly, with a raging feeling in his gut, Oreji pulled down a big lightning bolt and let it strike right between them two. Reese, in surprise, enveloped himself with the little bit of water that he had managed to gather to shield himself against the sheer power of his father's element.

When the show was over, both father and son snuggled a bit to reassure each other. Oreji would never hurt his son.

This has been an ongoing little project of mine and honestly I'm suuper proud of the result <3 It's been a while since I've concentrated so much to make a piece look good haha, it feels nice!

Honestly I love these two to bits and I feel like a proud mom haha :')
