Welcome to Monday, when LitRecognition introduces a newer member of the Literature Community. Whether they have been with us only a few months, or a couple of years,
we would like to present them with a bit of a fanfare. So, without further ado, I bring to you passenger-27!

What is your preferred medium for writing your initial drafts? Why?

My favorite medium for writing my initial drafts is and always has been a spiral bound notebook and pen. There's just something more intimate about it than typing.

Where is your most inspirational place to write? Why?

My most inspirational place to write is my back deck. There's a great view of the sky back there, and I always see horses running and angels flying across it. Not literally of course, but day or night, there's always a poem waiting to had up there.

What is your favorite genre to read and write? Why?

y favorite genre to read is horror, though I rarely write it. I guess I'm pretty dichotomous in that I try to write the exact opposite of horror. Although I personally love it, I feel like there are enough real-life horrors to go around, and people need a break from all that. Except me. I'm weird. :) (Smile)

What piece you have written, is your favorite? Why?

My favorite piece that I've written is a Tanka from my old account. It's called "the difference between poets and practical men." It goes like this:

a practical man
feels rain and hurries indoors.
a poet gives pause
to see waves surging throughout
oceans in every raindrop.

The reason it's my favorite is that it wrote itself, almost down to the very syllable. If only they were all that easy!

Of deviations you have read, which is your favorite? Why?

Wow, there's no way I can pick a favorite deviation, there are so many great ones. So my answer would be the pieces that have heart and soul. That can make a so-so piece good, and make a good one great.
