Outside...

I wear perfect smiles

and clothes of bright colours.

I speak with confidence

and walk with dominance.

I say "it's okay";

“My life is carefree!"

But on the inside...

My smiles are a show

to build walls in great numbers...

My clothes of "great pride"

let my bleeding scars hide.

"I'm okay" is a lie;

in my world of black and white...

My tears replace the joy

as darkness becomes my light.

In truths and in lies;

a sadness in disguise...

I am a thousand masks,

each with deceiving eyes.
