Description
Let's start off with an easy one! How would you like to introduce yourself?
-Hello, I’m Hani Korgia of Aryn! I hail from a land to the far southeast known as Korgia, but Aryn has been my home for many years.
Fancy! Now... who do you consider family?
-I’ve always considered all of Aryn my family, but recently things have changed. I hold my mate Lawson and my children close, but there are still a few in Aryn that I trust like my own blood, including Kane and his children. I also have many brothers, nieces, and nephews back in my homeland that I love greatly.
What achievement are you most proud of?
-Choosing my own life. When I was younger, there was always someone telling me what I could and could not be, and even afterward, the fear they instilled in me made me hesitate. But I’m different now- stronger. I’ve cut ties with those strings to my past and it’s made me better. Eh, perhaps that’s not really what you wanted to hear, sorry!
Tell us what you consider your greatest flaw.
-I’ve come to realize I’m too trusting. It’s cost my pack dearly. I won’t be making mistakes like that anymore.
Talk about your closest friends or most respected mentors!
-Lawson is my best friend in the whole world, though of course there are many in Aryn I call friends, and my brother Yowai and my friend Seaver were wonderful mentors to me.
And what about rivals? ...Enemies?
-I don’t know about rivals, that seems a bit too uselessly competitive, but there seem to be enemies everywhere. Vektren does not rest, and neither will I.
Do you believe in any higher powers? Gods or spirits? Tell us about it!
-I was sceptical of gods and spirits in my youth, but yes, I’ve come to believe in the One. I’d be lying if I said my faith was unshakable, especially with what has happened to so many that I love, but I hold out hope.
What do you think a wolf should value the most?
-Family should be the most valuable thing anyone has. It’s all that matters.
You must have dreams. What is it you want out of life?
-To live peacefully would be nice. I want the calm times of the past to return, back when the only thing I had to worry about was catching the pack’s next meal. I want play carefree in the rain again, goof around and explore with Lawson, watch my children grow- I want Aryn to be safe again.
If you could change one thing about the past, what would it be?
-I don’t usually like thinking about changing the past, because everything that has happened to me in my life led me to where I am now, but… at the very least, I would have liked to thank Athena and Alcatraz just one more time.
CHARACTER MUSE QUESTIONS (Answer as the creator!)
What external character/song/idea/etc provided the biggest inspiration for your character?
-Hani’s original concept was based on my grandfather’s corgi mix, Honey! Everything from her design to her early personality was based on her- golden, bubbly, and wild. Design wise, I was also inspired by the (extinct) japanese wolf, who were pretty damn small (similar to corgis), hence Hani’s vertical deficiency haha. Her family name though, Korgia, is a reference to her origins from Honey.
What part of yourself is most visible in your character?
-OH BOY. Hani is definitely my desire to be independent and fear of romantic intimacy, no question about it.
In general, what goals do you have for your character's future?
-Literally my only goal is to keep her alive at this point- Arynians are dropping like flies dude.
What aspect of your character has surprised you the most throughout their development?
-Hani in her entirety is a big surprise to me. She was made to be this silly carefree goofball and I really didn’t have much in mind for her other than a romance that did not happen. She grew waaaay beyond that without me even realizing and all of a sudden she became a core member of Aryn. It really blows my mind.
What is something your character didn't get the chance to talk about (or maybe left out) in their interview, that's worth knowing?
-Hani is super paranoid right now, even if she’s trying to act calm and rational, she’s ridiculously afraid of losing Lawson or her kids to more traitors.
