On the surface, Xuè is an optimistically flamboyant individual. He likes to be center of attention in any positive way possible. He likes to make friends and can adapt to many different situations. He is always down to play around whether it be chess or pranks.  He always seeks out the fun. He can be extremely lazy when it comes to things he isn't interested in, like studies or cleaning, and is rather disorganised. He's the type to be loud and dramatic about not wantin to do these things.

Underneath, he is observant and manipulative. He doesn't go out of his way to use this for bad things, simply to help himself out in tricky situations or for the mutual benefit of everyone. Sometimes he feels empty, unsure why he can't feel the emotions others do, and so he must act out what these emotions are like to keep his own "brokenness" to himself. His empathy is also lacking, but he can read a situation to tell what kind of expression or action he should be taking.

History:
Jīn Xuè was born to a small Cultivation family under a larger sect. His family consisted of his parents, close relatives and his three siblings; his older brothers and his younger sister. Life was peaceful until it came to his father. His father was very strict on the boys of the family and would discipline them with the whip when they didn't answer correctly, or if they were out of line.

It was under this stressful situation that he was taught the four arts, martial arts, and other knowledge. He barely passed most of the history-based information, leading to his frequent discipline. Around this time, he started to realise his emotions were not normal. His family had a dog that the other children grew very fond of. Jīn Xuè as well really liked the dog and when it passed away, everyone mourned -- except himself. He realised deep inside he didn't feel anything, so he forced himself to act as if he had for fear he'd be hit.

It came as a relief when the larger sect came to take in disciples. He was sent away from home and lived a more peaceful life under the sect. Even learning wasn't as torturous and he avoided getting into real trouble to avoid punishment. He felt more at home with the other disciples then he did in his own home and he stayed there for a few years. He became a favourite of the sect leaders and was even granted the sect's family name.

It was late one night when war began. The sect had been stealthily hiding illicit means of cultivation: Human experimentation and sacrifice. It came as a surprise to all the guest disciples, including Jīn Xuè. This was his first real taste of fighting and it required him to fight for his life. The sect was burned down, and everyone had fled by the end of the night. Jīn Xuè found himself far from home in his escape.

Years went by and he took on a new life and identity working for an entertainment group. He learned how to participate in acting and made extra cash at night at local brothels. Life was not as easy as it had been, but he stayed optimistic about it all.

Staying in an Inn, he was assassinated in his sleep, never getting to know who had done it.
