[1KA] Lin YiJie

Izuku is a man of precaution, preferring to analyze a situation rather than jump in head-first unless someone is in danger, which can lead him to overthink. He dislikes bullies, or people that do bad just for the sake of it. If possible, he prefers to talk someone down from wrongdoing, rather than fighting it out. He's naturally nosy when he thinks someone may be troubled, and he's very ambitious once he has a goal in-mind. He has great leadership skills and can be very analytical. He dislikes drinking or inebriating himself in any way beyond what is medically necessary (such as, for surgery.)

Despite his introspection, he's very friendly and open-minded. He takes criticism well, and always aims to improve himself.

•  In Muscle Forme, Izuku tends to be louder, and more confident, more willing to take the spotlight, and a leadership role. He usually stands tall and proud, giving off an air of strength, but he can appear airheaded and goofy on the surface.
• In his Basic Forme, he's much more timid, reserved, and anxious, but he tries not to let that hold him back. He's still the same man, after all, but being smaller reminds him of being younger, and more vulnerable, as he can no longer use his great strength.

 BACKGROUND: Izuku comes from Japan, in a near-future world where nearly everyone is born with a superpower, or special mutation, called a 'quirk.'

With the rise of quirks, came the rise of 'superheroes' and 'villains'. Villains were people who used their quirks for their own benefit, or to harm others, and Heroes were the outstanding people that stood up to stop them. Before long, being a 'Hero' became a profitable profession that required a license. Merchandise sales and media coverage turned heroes into both saviors, and entertainment, and they were hailed as celebrities. There were even public ceremonies announcing 'hero rankings' each year. Your rank was determined by your number of resolved incidents, and public reception. The higher your ranking, the better your pay.

 PERSONAL HISTORY: Izuku's personal inspiration in life, was the hero known as "All Might," the "#1 Hero" in these rankings, and Japan's "Symbol of Peace."

For as long as he could remember, Izuku's dream had been to become a professional hero like All Might. However, quirks usually manifested around the age of 4, and it was then that Izuku was medically diagnosed as 'quirkless.' Less than 20% of the entire world's population was born without a quirk, and it became very abundant to him that he would never be able to achieve his dream without one.

His best friend, Bakugou Katsuki, turned on him. All the way up until highschool, he was bullied for being useless. Dekunobou, or "Deku" became his nickname. But despite people telling him that he'd never be a hero, he kept notebooks to study the fundamental strategies and techniques that known heroes would use, hoping the knowledge would help him someday. He'd become very adept at studying others.

It was a fateful day that he met his idol "All Might." Izuku risked his life to save his childhood friend, and that day, it was revealed to him that All Might's quirk contained a special ability, in that it could be passed down to someone else. All Might offered his quirk to Izuku due to his own declining health, and Izuku accepted, inheriting the quirk known as "One For All." All Might became his mentor.

He applied to UA High School, the most prestigious hero school in Japan. It was there he began his training to become a hero, and it was also here that he realized that One For All was much more powerful than his body could handle. Punching with its super strength would break his arms, and greatly damage his muscles. Every time he used it, he would end up in medical care, and eventually, he overused it so much that he was told that if he continued to break his arms, he wouldn't be able to use them anymore.

He changed his fighting style to prioritize kicks instead, since legs are naturally stronger in the human body. He called this fighting style "Shoot Style." It was later that he was also taught to harness One For All's other abilities, such as superhuman speed, wind pressure, and Black Whip (to be described more in skills.)

Once Izuku graduated from UA (age 18), he received his hero license and began hero work in Japan. After 2 years of settling down into a new apartment, he decided he'd journey to America to continue studying heroics with his mentor All Might. He stayed for another 3 years, having a blast working, training, learning, and occasionally sharing drinks with American heroes. His English improved during his time abroad.

When he returned home (age 23), he quickly ascended the ranks to become Japan's #1 Hero, and it was that year that All Might 'died.' (He just died PUBLICALLY. With his new AMAZING pay grade, Izuku moved him into a beach house where he could REALLY retire and live quietly without the threat of villains trying to kill the former symbol of peace. No one knew the secret but Deku and All Might himself.)

He began reuniting with highschool friends, and even reconciled with his childhood bully Bakugou Katsuki. They became much closer with a much more defined mutual respect for one another.

It's about 5 years after All Might's 'death' that recklessness puts an end to Midoriya Izuku. Working too much, and functioning on little to no sleep, he challenged a villain with a white phosphorus quirk. As the villain began to burn down a building, Izuku pushed himself to rescue the building's occupants. During the apprehension of the villain, Izuku was burned alive, and the building collapsed, crushing both himself and the villain underneath the rubble of a Tokyo skyscraper. 3 policemen, and 2 civilians were the only others hurt.


 ONE FOR ALL (superpower/inhuman/magic based)
Izuku's inherited power. It grants him access to a stockpile of superhuman abilities. None of these abilities are accessible to him in a pure-human, or non-superpowered form. These skills are locked while MUSCLE FORME is not in use.

• (1) EXTRAORDINARY STRENGTH If used at full power, it's enough to pulverize just about anything, including metals, solid rock, buildings, bones (sometimes his own, if he's not careful), etc. The strength is so powerful that it can cause shockwaves, and manipulate air pressure, even changing the weather. This includes the ability to jump high into the air long enough to soar.
• (2) EXTRAORDINARY SPEED If focused, he can move faster than the human eye can follow. He hasn't fully mastered this skill.
• (3) "BLACKWHIP" He can launch dark tendrils of energy to grab things at a large range. It's fueled by feelings of rage, and he's still learning to control it.

 VAST FIGHTING KNOWLEDGE (mental/knowledge based)
Izuku has spent his entire life studying professional heroes fight, and has trained under the best.

• (4) HAND-TO-HAND COMBAT "Shoot Style" While technically he typically prioritizes kicking styles, he's very skilled at reading his opponents and applying different strategies. Although, he's definitely not as quick or as strong in his Basic Forme; if he overestimates his own strength, he can be easily overpowered.
• (5) KEEN INTELLECT Izuku is a fast learner. He has very keen observation skills and a well-honed intuition. He's great at quickly analyzing a situation and using things in a resourceful manner. This includes his memory of first aid.
• (6) FIRST AID/RESCUE KNOWLEDGE He's already had experience rescuing people in his hero job, and he's medically knowledgeable to keep most people alive until medics arrive.
  
• (7) NUTRITIONIST He's pretty good at judging the nutritional value of things... so long as they're of his world. He's been working on building his body for over 12 years.
• (8) ENHANCED ENDURANCE His pain tolerance is extremely high. Izuku has willingly broken bones multiple times over, and has been able to continue fighting. He once took a pole straight through the gut and still had the energy to complete an arrest. This also increases his general stamina.

 Additional Notes: THE ORIGINAL MIDORIYA IZUKU IS NOT MY OC. He was created by Horikoshi Kouhei and belongs to a series called Boku no Hero Academia/My Hero Academia. I have a lot of experience roleplaying him already, and I plan to deal him as much respect as possible, staying true to the character as well as I can.

 RP preferences: I will mainly RP through Discord, or here on DeviantArt, and any RP style is fine with me. I live in CST (GMT -5) but my waking hours fluctuate greatly. I have no problems playing any 'degrading' roles, but I know that my character will straight up REFUSE to play the role of a 'villain.' If he finds that he's doing something that harms others, he WILL change factions.
