STOGAM - The Needs Of The Many vs The Few [hd 720p]

This is a short clip from "Star Trek: Of Gods And Men" in which Ulhura is discussing with Tuvok (and some others) how the old Vulcan ideology "the needs of the many outweigh the needs of the few, or the one" is the corner stone of tyranny.

"It is the year 2306. Thirteen years have passed since Captain James T. Kirk was swept away by the Nexus, after saving the crew of the USS Enterprise-B. The remaining crew members of the original USS Enterprise have gone their separate ways. Captain Nyota Uhura and Captain Pavel Chekov, along with Captain John Harriman of the Enterprise-B, come together for a special dedication in honor of Kirk's Enterprise. Their reunion is cut short when they receive a distress call from a mysterious planet, that presses the three friends to embark on a mission that will change their lives forever."

The film stars Walter Koenig, Nichelle Nichols (Uhura and Chekov of the original series) and Alan Ruck (Captain John Harriman of the 7th Trek feature film, Star Trek Generations) along with Grace Lee Whitney (Janice Rand of the original series). Joining them are Garrett Wang (Star Trek: Voyager) and Ethan Phillips (Star Trek: Voyager as well as Star Trek: The Next Generation); Cirroc Lofton, Chase Masterson and JG Hertzler (Star Trek: Deep Space Nine), Gary Graham and Crystal Allen (Star Trek: Enterprise), Herb Jefferson (Battlestar Galactica) plus Tim Russ (reprising his role as Tuvok from Star Trek: Voyager), who also directs the film.

Producer Sky Conway and Deep Space Nine freelance storywriters Jack Trevino and Ethan H. Calk wrote OGAM. Director of photography is Doug Knapp. More than 50 film professionals (all Star Trek fans) have worked tirelessly to produce this labor of love! Originally released in three parts on the internet in 2008, this film is presented to you as a full 90 minute movie.

Why do I get the feeling there is an unseen war between the casts of the traditional shows and the casts of Discovery/Picard?

Kirk and Co. did what they did to save their friends Spock and McCoy(who was going insane because of Spock's spirit). They broke every rule in the book to do it and were prepared to pay the price when they went to return to Earth after fixing McCoy and Spock.

There's a certain line in Naruto manga/anime that goes - "Those who break the rules are trash. Those who abandon their friends are worse than trash. If I'm going to be trash then I'll break the rules."
