The Switch (Part 7)

"You...you killed her..." Sam says stunned, seeing Celeste's lifeless body laying by the wall Venom threw her against.

Venom licks the blood off his hand, looking nonplussed, "No I didn't."

"What do you mean, no you didn't!? Just look!" Sam exclaims, and if his arms were free he would be pointing at Celeste's body.

Venom rolls his eyes, "See for yourself," he says, putting his bloody hand in front of Sam's face, "Try it."

Sam furrows his brows, "You really are out of your mind if you think I'm going to lick that blood. I would never-mmph!" Venom simply stuck the palm of his finger tip into Sam's mouth while he was talking, being mindful of his claw despite threatening Sam with it earlier.

Sam's eyes widen, looking disgusted at first but then confused as Venom moves his finger away, "...strawberry?"

"Yes you idiot, strawberry," Venom shakes his hand to get some of the excess liquid off, "Some kind of strawberry syrup made to look like blood. I could already smell the fake blood when it was dripping out of his mouth." Venom looks back at Celeste's body, "How long are you going to keep up that being dead act?"

"Wait...his?" Sam does a double take at Celeste? body, and sure enough there is a ripple like effect as if a glamour or charm is vanishing from the body.

"You..." the body changes into a male, slowly getting up, brushing off his clothes and sticking a lollipop in his mouth, "...are a real killjoy. You know that?" A familiar figure to Sam now stood in front of the two, crossing his arms.

"And you chose the wrong guy to try pranking you midget," Venom licks the remaining strawberry syrup off his fingers, "And I'll take that 'killjoy' as a compliment, seeing as I'm very good at killing any mood." Venom opens his other hand, finally freeing Sam from his grip so he's left sitting on his palm instead, "Not that I know why you would be interested in Saul anyways."

"So you were the one responsible for switching Lira and me!" Sam gets back up onto his feet, giving the trickster an accusing look. It makes more sense that someone like the trickster would use magic like that rather than Celeste. The trickster always has a reason for his actions, but he's not quite sure what the point was that he switched Lira and Sam.

"Bingo," the trickster smirks as he takes the lollipop out of his mouth, "But there was a little setback in the plan. I think I'll be taking little Sam back," he snaps his fingers.

At the same time the trickster snaps his fingers though, Venom covers Sam completely with his other hand, leaving the small hunter engulfed in both the drider's hands. Sam feels around in Venom's hand and winces from the snap, expecting to be placed somewhere random but relaxes slightly when nothing happens. He notices that there seems to be more space in Venom's hands as well, but that can't be right...could it? He hears a snap again, but again nothing happens, and Sam is able to stand up again on the palm, but he's still covered with both hands.

"What's going on?" the trickster asks, sounding surprised for once as his magic doesn't seem to be working. Not only that, but he notices that the drider grew in size some. That shouldn't be possible, driders are not able to change their size.

"As I said before, you should have learned more about me before you decided to try this prank of yours. I am immune to magic, and your magic can't reach someone covered by me," Venom says as his amethyst eyes give the trickster a piercing look, "And I'm also immune to poison, see for yourself," he exhales a poisonous breath towards the trickster.

Not taking any chances, the trickster warps out of the way and appears in front of the cave entrance, "I'll be back," he warns in a sing song tone like tone, vanishing once again before Venom could target him again.

Venom huffs, not even bothering to pursue the trickster, opening up his hands and giving Sam a look, "You're way more trouble than your worth."

Sam eyes widen, "Are you...did you get bigger?" he asks instead, Venom looking even bigger than he did before, not to mention the fact when Venom first closed his hands over him he was stuck in a crouching position, but was able to move into a standing position as the trickster was trying to use magic on him.

Venom narrows his eyes, "I save your sorry little ass twice, and instead of thanking me, you ask if I got bigger?" Venom shrinks back down to his normal 8ft height.

"Oh, uh...thank you," Sam is trying to wrap his head around everything that just happened. From Venom threatening him before and grabbing him, to almost being given to Celeste who was really the trickster in disguise and witnessing Venom killing them, it is a lot for Sam to take in. Then there is the new information Sam learned about Venom, being immune to magic and able to grow to a bigger size? There is a lot more information Sam and Dean need to research about driders in the event they ever encounter one back home.
