Literature Text

Things were far from going the right way. Gravity was dead, Cameron spent her days erasing sand from existence and neglected her duties, nuclear only complained about the timeframe and when he would get to kill the already dead badger, and Kaylin, poor Kaylin was seesawing back and forth between trying to escape in madness and being completely apathetic.

If the problems weren't already stacked on top of each other the Blacktown emergency radio sparked to life at breakfast that morning.
"They found us! The whole army is here outside the gates!"

He knew it had only been a question of time before it happened but right now was not the best time.

Wilfred decided to go alone with Kaylin. He couldn't leave her without someone to watch over her and the two others seemed far too erratic to be trusted with the task. His first idea was to lock her in gravity's prison but then the others would realize the dead molten badger inside. He still needed everyone to believe gravity was alive. He needed them to think he still had everything under control.

Together with the apathetic Kaylin Wilfred boarded the small four-legged robot walker which took him back and forth between the camps. The trip started fine; Kaylin sat like a porcelain doll beside him. It was almost uncanny the way she looked. Then suddenly she came to life. She rose and hit her head in the roof, then she dropped down in the seat again and turned to Wilfred.
"You gotta stop this!" She said holding his arm in a hard grasp.

"Relax Kaylin. There's nothing to worry about. There's nothing they can throw at me I can't handle." He assured her.

"Listen to me, Wilfred! You're not yourself! You're being controlled. This whole revolution is a setup!"

"You are delirious Kaylin." He shook his head.

"Someone is controlling us! We need to fight them! Dawson said it's a psychic tampering with our minds" She pulled and tugged at his robe, but he didn't even bother looking at her.

"Your human pet is dead Kay-kay." He turned to look sympathetically at her. "And I'll deal with the ice shifter who killed Edgar and did this to you, don't worry."

Kaylin looked despairing at him, then she vanished from the seat.

"Kaylin?" He opened the cockpit. "Kaylin?! Where did you go?!" He yelled out into the forest.

A few seconds later she appeared beside him again. Now she was back into the porcelain state.

"What was that?" He asked.

"I… need… to… fi..." she seemed to be stumbling on the words. "Never mind." She then said abruptly.

Half an hour later she disappeared again. This time she didn't return immediately. Wilfred searched the nearest forest for several minutes before she suddenly returned to his side. This behaviour repeated several times, Kaylin spoke of nonsense and teleported herself out into the forest only to return a while after. Finally, Wilfred had enough, she was delaying them drastically.
"I had hoped it would never get to this." He said sadly as he searched his backpack for a choker. "I need you to stay here."

Kaylin seemed to come to life again when she saw what he was holding.

"No!" She screamed and knocked the choker out of his hands. Then she vanished yet again.

This time she never returned. Wilfred searched for several hours, but she was nowhere to be found. Distressed he had to continue his travel without her. He arrived at a devastated crowd of refugee rebels lead by the cell-leader Diamond at the end of the escape tunnels. The society had taken the whole town. A brave group of rebels led by Coen had stayed to fight the loyalists and nothing had been heard from them since. The rebels had nothing, no food, shelter, no other clothes than the ones they wore nor equipment. They had all left the town in haste.

"What should we do?" Diamond asked.
"I'll take you to our second camp. It's one and a half days walk by foot from here."

Just as Wilfred turned around to head back the sky shined up in a flash and then a mushroom cloud appeared far away on the horizon. He felt a quick, burning pain spreading through his body, it was gone as wick as it came. There was no question of where it was, or which two persons could be responsible.

Wilfred only gaped. Cameron was gone. He felt it Just like how he'd felt Edgar's death.

"God’s watching…"

So what is Wilfred doing while things crumbles around him? :)

I guess it is not easy to eliminate a character. I just hope nuclear is fine and Delmar obviously XD. I'm impatient for what will come next <3
