| Build:
Tall and Muscular, but rather thin-looking due to her height. If it were not for her thick layer of untamable fur, her ribs would be visible, but so would her muscle-tones. Her red coat and steel colored eyes leave her looking rather menacing despite her generally warm and welcoming demeanor.

Main Theme[link]
Quiet | Blunt | Observant | Sullen | Jumpy | Short-tempered | Dedicated | Untrusting

Quiet: Dracarys almost never talks. Almost never.... unless she's being directly spoken to, or the situation deems it absolutely necessary. But generally speaking, she just doesn't enjoy speaking to people she's not entirely acquainted with and besides, it takes too much energy to talk a lot anyway. She usually gets away it considering that her packmates are rather talkative, and her rule of speaking when spoken to is usually viewed as rather respectful.

Blunt: Drac can be harshly blunt at times, even to the point of hurting someone's feelings. Though she does not intend to be rude, she can come off as a little cold in the way she words things.

Observant: Dracarys is an observant young wolf. She pays remarkable attention to her surroundings, and is highly alert most all the time.

Sulky: While the young wolf may have a very warm disposition to others, she can appear very sullen at first glance. Not one to smile or wag her tail, she shows little of any happy or upbeat emotion most of the time.

Jumpy: Her very recent trauma has left young Drac easily startled and jumpy. Though she tries not to be paranoid, she has a hard time relaxing.

Short-tempered: While not one to lash out in yelling matches, Dracarys can become easily frustrated without severe provocation, and it is apparent in her shift of demeanor from one of warmth to one more sharp and snappy.

Dedicated: For all dracarys is, she is dedicated. To her calling, and to Shiloh, who saved her from certain starvation on her own. She would bleed for Shiloh, and would support her, and Riverfell if it came to it.

Untrusting: Because of her past, and the multiple betrayals of her past pack and her leaders, and goddess she so trusted, Dracarys does not give her trust freely. She does not even unchallengingly trust Shiloh wholey, but she is loyal to her nonetheless by her moral code.

History

Dracarys was born to an ebony pelted she-wolf who had been taken in as a wife by the crown-prince of a pack. The male was a tall, strong wolf who had proven his worth amongst the few males of the pack, and the female was a small black-coated one, which was rare for her pack as most wolves of their clan bore shades blue or white. Rumors spread throughout the pack that the Ebony she-wolf was marked as charcoal for denying the Goddess of the Rain, though this was never proven true,. despite attempts on the part of the Oracle. Thus the exotic female was never put to death. In fact, these serious accusations were not enough to keep the lustful young king from taking the dark female as his wife, despite the contradictory coaxing of the Priestesses.

Bastet's pack lived in harsh land as wild and unpredictable as the wolves who called it their home. Harsh pine mountains with low dry plains that turned to marsh at the whims of the Rain Goddess's pour during winter and spring. During later summer through autumn, wildfires were a common occurrence, and when the leaves of the trees who rested in winter turned to gold and fall from their places, the wolves of this harsh land traveled away from the fields into the cliffs, avoiding the amazingly disastrous flash-floods that swept through the low-lands during the rainy season.

Bastet's pack was incredibly religious, their main gods being the Goddess of the Rain, who they are indebted to, and whom they serve,... and her counterpart, the God of the Flames, the sworn enemy of the Rain Goddess who was said to be less cruel and harsh than the Flame God, but also less powerful. It was told that the two were both born from the wild, twins that each embodied the harshest pieces of nature itself. It was Rain who gave life to the things who lived in the wild, who provided them with fresh water to sustain life, while Fire consumed life in biting pain and heat, leaving only ash in it's wake that rain would once again bring life to after his carnage.

They believed for every litter born, a certain number of the pups would be sacrificed to the Rain Goddess once they were weened. The Sacrifices always took place on a sacred cliff hanging over the large river that ran through the pack, where they would drop the small, newly weened puppies off the cliff down into the raging waters when the flashfloods swelled, symbolizing the Rain Goddess taking the pure souls of their pups to create her pure life essence of water from, and in turn bless the wild, the souls of the tributes becoming one with the land.

When the whelping season came, the crown prince, now King, gathered his wives together in the main den and left each of them to their own to give birth and raise their pups to weening. When each of the pups, including Bastet, was 6 weeks old, the time for the sacrifice was mere day s away, when a massive storm came, causing lightning to strike the trees above them. A wild fire broke free throughout the den, leaving the King no choice but to flee with all of his packmates and wives he could from the scene, leaving many of the new pups, and his lovely ebony wife, to die in the flames. While most all of the pack's pups had been killed in the tragedy, one of the Priestesses found the ebony she-wolf at the edge of the burnt territory, half burnt and shielding her last small pup from the flames the night. Despite making it out of the flames with one last pup, her burn wounds had been the end of her. The priestess took the last standing female pup as a sign from the God of the Flames. She named the pup 'Dracarys' prophetically, meaning ''Of Dragon's Fire.''  She took the pup back to what remained of the pack, where the pup was revered and treated as a demi-god in the wake of her mother and siblings' deaths. Most avoided her, believing she was a dark omen, a sign from the Flame God of his anger caused by the sacrifices over the years of all the small pups killed for the Rain Goddess. As of this, Dracarys was heavily doted and indoctrinated to serve the Rain Goddess amongst the pack. But the head priestess grew jealous of Arys, who was about to become a juvenile, and inherit the title of Head Priestess herself due to all the signs thus far. The older she-wolf plotted to kill Dracarys for several weeks, when one night another fire broke lose during a storm- which was viewed as a skirmish between the Rain Goddess and her brother, Fire. While the pack fled to the cliffs, the head priestess seized her opportunity. She kidnapped Dracarys, and fled to the skirts of the pack territory to kill her. But by the gods' mercy, Dracarys tricked the Oracle. She convinced the She-wolf that the only way to kill her, as she's was the vessel of the Flame God, was to allow the pup to be sacrificed to her father, the flame god himself. The priestess agreed, and took the juvenile into the midst of the flames, where the young she-wolf took a strong, snarling lunge, knocking the older wolf into a small, engulfed tree. Flame-ridden branches fell onto the priestess, trapping her and burning her to death while Dracarys ran from the ear-piercing shrieks and screams of her Oracle. The pack listened to the cries for as long as they carried on, only to see Dracarys emerge from the torched forest and climb the rocks to the sacred sacrificial cliff, unharmed.

Dracarys believed the Flame God had saved her. He saved her from the jaws of the Rain Goddess and her wicked vessel. She was HIS vessel, as he had shown her once again. She was again proven worthy of her name, "Dracarys", however when her pack discovered what had taken place, particularly the circle of priestesses, they believed the flame god had taken their Oracle as an defilement on their pack, and their Goddess, using Dracarys as his hand..

They sentenced Dracarys to death on account of their Goddess, claiming she was a devil, spawned from the ebony witch as a tribute to the Flame God, a living rebellion of everything the pack so reveered. They charged her with treason of their Goddess' will, and as a threat to the pack, deeming her to be sacrificed to the river in an attempt to cleanse their lands of her and her god with Rain's holy water. However, the young wolf escaped once again when the lower priestesses who were preparing to perform the ritual were themselves swept away during the fatefully timed swelling of one of the Rain God's flash floods. Dracarys fled long and far, never looking back toward the river that she once viewed as so sacred, but now viewed only as death and falsity. She would no longer serve the false Goddess, but instead serve HER God, the God who called fire down from the sky; she was his vessel.
No matter how far her God would take her, how far she would go, she knew His fire would be with her through it all.

After a while out on her own, wandering through unknown lands with none of her pack she had so heavily relied on to help her, Dracarys began to go hungry. While she was able to catch and find small amounts of food, it was nothing near to enough for the growing young wolf, and soon she became malnourished...
However Dracarys has been through too much to give up, and decided she would fight until her legs could no longer hold her- and she had almost come to that point when the Fates aligned once more in her meeting of Shiloh, the Lionwolf.

Really interested in seeing how Arys fairs in Riverfell after everything she has been through! :la:
