Taming:

• Hey guys! It looks like we have a few visitors who have wandered in after the recent plentiful sightings of deities. Check them out over here, where day 1 will open at 7PM PST on 7/14! Wild Packs

• Those of you who tamed last round are able to tame this round, since these guys are slightly special!

Journals:

• We have made a new Eclipse friendly Tokotna Import Error reporting journal. Please be sure to use the latest journal linked on the Cycling Hub~

• Due to Eclipse playing shenanigans with our journal skin, the list on the Companion Animals journal will no longer be updated. Instead, we have updated the Companion References page on Tokotna to provide the same information.

• We are working to migrate more journals to our Member Resources on Tokotna, so please keep an eye out!

Semi Customs:

• Semi Custom Restrictions have been updated to allow the use of all Extremely Common, Common, and Uncommon genes. This update is retroactive and affects all Semi Customs permissions/items

Tokotna Features:

• The sidebar navigation menu on the site now has a link to both the Cycling Hub and the new Current Events section of the front page

• The Current Events section will list all ongoing Events across the group, as well as any applicable end dates!

• Tokotna Forms have been updated to work better with Eclipse!

• Activity and Tribe Activity forms have also been split to different tabs to better reflect applicable bonuses

• Pregenerated Activity Codes have been added to the bottom of all forms to help streamline our Activity Rollers jobs! Please be sure to copy these over, as much like the TT Calc, this should cut down on errors and wait time in that department~

• Breeding forms have also been added, which will pull all relevant breeding information for a Tokota onto an easily copy-pastable page!

Anniversary:

• Good job at showing your heARTs everyone! Half Mane Akotas have been unlocked and are now available in breeding and Abandoned Akotas!

• The Anniversary Wilds have new homes!

• Bear WF179 has gone home with @PrinceJackadaw

• Bat WF180 has gone home with Berkelis

• After several rounds of intense debate, the winners of the OG 20 Redesign contest have been picked! Design Central

Hello everyone! I have some very exciting news for you today. DC is just too caught up and frankly bored, so we decided to do a trial run this month of allowing two extra designs. This means 7 designs may be submitted for July, or 8 if you have the Lioness Totem. Please note that this is a trial, and there are no promises that we will continue this next month. We hope you enjoy submitting some extra pups to DC this July! c:

Leading the Pack Search!

The TCA has been short-staffed of late and has issued an urgent call to all Pack Leaders! As most of you know, wild tokotas are tagged and tracked to assess their behavior, social and risk levels before being made available for taming. Several new tokotas have been identified in a far-away region, but the TCA outposts in that area are vacant, and help is needed to pinpoint the tokotas for tagging before their trail is lost! Using only your stamina and your very best Tokota, help quickly track down and locate new wild tokotas for the TCA to log.

Depict your handler and tokota tracking down the new wild tokotas. Either pawprints/tracks or the wild tokotas themselves must be included. If included, at least one wild tokota must be at least 50% visible or mentioned at least 3 times in literature. The wild tokotas can be made up or previously tamed wilds.

A handler is required for this quest.

Prize: +1 Faction Point, Arrowhead x 2, Feather x 2, Crafted Bow x 1

Hey all, welcome to July! At this time, we are looking at a full group opening! I'm sure everyone is excited, but make sure to read the announcements down below!

Currently Open: Activities, Bank, Breeding, Design Central, CEs & PvP, HU, Random Events, Rite of Fertility, Shrine, Tribes

Hierarchy Updates:

• We now require bank links in HU! If you are using items from your bank, or a totem please remember to link your bank.

• You may now confirm 5 PVP wins in our activity confirms thread, for one comment instead of 5 when you go into alpha prerequisites!

Breedings:

• Starter breedings are limited to 3 per month, per member. No other types of breedings (normal, image/talisman, passionates) may involve starter tokotas in them. Any breeding involving a starter will count towards your monthly cap of 3 starter breedings.

Outpost

• Don’t forget about the latest outpost goal! We're almost there and the reveal is sure to get those tails wagging!

Hiring:

• Bank and Breedings are now hiring! Check out Admin Applications Journal and send an application as a note to @totemspirit as usual if you’re interested!

Hello Tokotna! Today marks our 6th anniversary, and I hope y'all don't think we forgot because we have a load of fun things for you!

First up, the OG 20 have been with us since Day One of Tokotas. It's time they get some TLC in the form of a new look. If you would like to help our familiar faces spruce up their coats, take a look at our Starter Design Contest OG 20 Edition!

Next, how better to celebrate six years with all our friends than gifting art? Check out the Show your heART to learn how to get involved. Rumor has it something interesting happens if enough people show the love...

Tokotna is getting in on the fun as well! The Tokopedia now allows you to search by category keywords, such as typing in Soul Pool and getting all the locations and items associated with Soul Pool.

Our lovely Merch Shop got some new inventory today including Faction Mugs, Faction Beanies, and Deity Sprite Keychains!

Additionally, we are having a 10% off Sale on Posters and Mugs! Our Sale ends on the 23rd!

Two new backgrounds have been released today. These gorgeous locals are obtained by using a Borga stone, which you can get a free x5 Pack of if you Donate an Aippaq by the end of the month!

Finally, your Tokota can now snuggle Sikrinerk and Meelanik in plushie companion form. These cuties are being raffled off all day long and added as prizes in all the Anniversary Events. Get your hands on one by playing the game!

Hi everyone!

Breeding, Activities, Tribes, and Design Central are now open!

Breeding Updates:

• Like Bank, Breeding will now be running on weekly threads!

• Breedings will still be cleared in order they are posted, but hopefully this will mitigate some of the issues we've had with the endless scroll system.

• Please make sure you check and post in the currently Open thread for the week!

Activities Updates:

• It is now Summer! In season are Lynx, Coyote, Birds, Bear, Caribou and Seal.

• Be sure to check out the new Patience trait, and as a reminder to those filling out forms manually Brawny II no longer applies to Akotas.

DC Updates:

• Reminder to link your Tokotna bank in all Soul Pool and Import Updates submissions! Even if you do not need to remove any items from your bank, linking your bank or profile on Tokotna also allows us to check factions for bonuses. We will only accept forms with no bank linked if nothing is being taken out and no faction bonuses are being used.

• “All Members” thread has been officially renamed to “Main Thread”

• We have updated our description of the “Buy for Me” option in Soul Pool to clarify that we will not remove additional PotA tokens even if you choose “Yes” unless you specify that you want us to. If you have an extra marking on the Tokota that shouldn’t be there, or you underestimated your PotA token count, we will not remove extras and will instead send you to corrections. If you prefer to skip corrections and have us remove any and all potatoes required from your bank, be sure to tell us!

• The monthly DC journal as well as every thread comment has a link to our tutorial on how to link your sta.sh images when submitting a design to DC. Please check it out so we can look at your pretty tokos instead of just throwing you to corrections right away!

Tribe Updates:

• Just adding on to the broken journal announcement from the previous news post that this also applies to TP redemptions and Tribe Achievement progress. Until the journals are workable again links off the broken HU journal will not be usable.

• The one exception to this is if you are redeeming a TP tier for your tribe that was gained during the old tribe system as long as you have the admin comment confirming what tier you reached.

Wild Design Contest:

• Insanely late, so sorry. Winners are @saphiraly, @BuckyB00, @lceshadow, @utakame, @empluvie, @rocheryn, @celbean, @peep1897, @karaskakalac, and @lachtaube!

• Picking designs was extremely difficult and there were a lot that I hated to pass up! Keep in mind that these designs could take anywhere from a week to a year or so to pop up depending greatly on plans and whatnot. They could also have special requirements, so if you do the taming early, you could have to do them all over again.

• Please give admins 48 hours from now to deposit prizes before you note the group.

Last but not least we have a new faction themed Quest!

• With genetic testing becoming all the rage among serious Prestige Breeders, you've decided to explore the DNA ancestry of one of your most prized tokotas. Depict your handler taking a sample of genetic material to send in for testing, either by doing a nail clipping for a blood sample, or a mouth swab. Does their tokota cooperate with the procedure, or do they give their handler a hard time? A handler is required for this quest. Prize: +1 Faction Point, Fertility Supplements x 1, Inukshuk Talisman x 1 6/8 - 6/30 ends at 11:59 pm PST (Tokotna Time)

Hello Everyone!

Additionally we have a slew of updates for you all today!

Eclipse Updates

• We have written a few helpful guides to get you lovelies through the transition to Eclipse; General Knowledge, How do I Navigate this Thing?, How to Link Stash Images, Bank Redeems from Stash

• As you may have noticed from the above guides, trackers and other links in stash pose a few challenges. Be sure you are grabbing the correct links when using stash items around the game, and please consider moving trackers to dA proper.

• After this month we will no longer be supporting stash trackers. If you make a mistake because of a stash tracker, you will be sent to corrections.

• Broken journals cannot be used for the time being. This means that any geno or slot proofs from broken journals cannot be used, as we cannot verify the proof anymore. We have been in contact with a DA developer; if the problem is fixed, we’ll make rules for broken journals.

Anniversary Celebrations

• There will be Anniversary Shenanigans all month long including sales and special events, so keep an eye on the news!

• Naggy & Aga have joined Aippaq in the facelift department!

• Aippaq, Nagruk and Aga may still be drawn in their old Import Form for HP purposes!

• The other spirits have joined in the fun and have settled into new backgrounds of their own!

Merch Store

• As mentioned above, this month will feature sales in the merch store! Keep an eye on Discord and the News for announcements!

• Check out the new charms! Your may currently sport your favorite faction (or bundle them all for a handsome discount!), and I've heard rumors that the deities want in on the fun…

• As a reminder, Aippaq Plushies will be discontinued on June 16th! Until then, you can pick up one for yourself or Donate an Aippaq towards the Phoenix Children's Hospital.

• We are sure many of you have noticed, but we wanted to formally address the shipping delays on our Printful items (Shirts, Mugs, Posters, etc.) Due to the current world events, things are a little backed up on the supplier's end. We apologize for the inconvenience, but we are keeping as close of an eye on shipping as you all are. (We are eagerly awaiting our merch as well here in admin land!!) Please do send us a note if you have concerns about your order. Make sure to add you 4 Digit Transaction Id or Jill can’t find it!

Outpost Unlock

• With the completion of the last Outpost Goal, Cheek Fluff was added to Akotas. Now you can get all that fluffy goodness on your big boys/girls.

• Check out the New Outpost Goal, it’s tail-riffic!

Item Updates

• Swan may now be used in place of Fertility Supplements or Close Care in Breeding.

• Borga Stone’s has added the Spirit Infection & Spirit Blessed recolors for Akycha’s Gate.

• Brawny II no longer applies to Akotas, as they have gained access to the new exclusive Patience II trait. Tokotna has been updated to reflect this change.

• Sikrinerk Sprite now provides an automatic +20 HP to all immediate offspring of the Tokota it is applied to.

• Nagruk Sprite now provides +10 HP to all immediate offspring of the Tokota it is applied to when the offspring successfully completes the Rites of Dominance. Additionally, provides to all immediate offspring of the Tokota a +10 Bonus to their RoD Score.

• Aga Sprite now provides +10 HP to all immediate offspring of the Tokota it is applied to when the offspring successfully completes the Arms of Akna. Additionally, provides to all immediate offspring of the Tokota a chance to roll up to six pups in a litter. Does not apply to dire x dire or akota breedings.

New Stuff

• We have a new Soul Pool Companion in honor of our dear Sikrinerk, Spirit Dove

• The Common Light and Dark Spirits from Spirit Rally have decided to follow all the Tokotas home!
