[arrogant & entitled]
As a youth, Judith merely had a great deal of self-worth and confidence, but over time, this morphed into a general sense of superiority. Immediately prior to her first run-in with the Hive, Judith had been at the height of her confidence and feelings of superiority. Her parentage and place within Vektren gave her a strong sense of greater importance, and she undoubtedly made this known in her interactions with others. She believed she could do no wrong and that because of her relation to the Patron, she was inherently better than most of her packmates and special privileges were her birthright. However, this self-importance has begun to crumble, not to the point of erasure, but to the point where Judith's arrogance has diminished a good deal. Regardless, one would not suspect it given that Judith interacts with others in almost the exact same manner that she did before: like a spoiled, irritable brat. The "dink" in her confidence would not be noticed by anyone who is not extremely close with her.
[strong-willed]
For her whole life, Judith has always done as she pleases (so long as she was not explicitly
ordered not to by a higher-ranking Vektreni). She's incredibly independent and is absolutely, unwaveringly certain about (most) things that she wants. She does not let anything get in the way of what she would like to do, and can hardly ever be swayed from a decision if she has her mind dead-set on making it.
[clever & shrewd]
While certainly not at her elder sister's level of intelligence, Judith had her fair share of her family's general intelligence. She is quick-witted and can make difficult decisions fairly easily (so long as her own emotions aren't involved...). Her astute powers of observation are next to none, specifically when it comes to observations about others. She had a knack for poking right at someone's fears and insecurities if she so chooses, though she is not mean-spirited enough to do so (most of the time, only doing so if she feels cornered or attacked).
[direct]
Judith is not shy about making her thoughts known, even if she knows they will not be well-received. She cares little for the opinions of those outside of her own family and is extremely unrestrained in what she decides to say about others, even to their faces. Speaking hard truths comes easily to her, particularly to strangers but even to her own friends and family (though there is a bit of a filter when she is speaking with higher-ups and wolves she is particularly close to).
[socially inept]
Socializing with others is something that Judith enjoys (particularly when
she is the one talking), but her personality along with her misunderstandings about how friendships and relationships with others work make social interactions generally go rather poorly. Unlike most others, Judith is not good with the "unspoken rules" of friendship (sharing, giving advice when needed, offering comfort, etc.). She's particularly terrible at reciprocation, mainly out of habit from her childhood. She comes off irascible and unapproachable, and her parentage makes others wary of treating her as anything other than "the Patron's daughter," so much of her experience with social situations is not exactly what one would call "typical." Deep down, Judith wants to form connections with others and is genuinely well-meaning, but
true friendships take a level of vulnerability, mutual understanding, and cooperation that currently escape her.
[ambitious & competitive]
Judith has an incredible desire to succeed in anything she sets out to do, whether it be something as important as her Shade duties or as unimportant as dancing and verbal spats. Given her quite strong belief in her own abilities and her status as the Patron's daughter, she holds herself to an
incredibly high (and frankly, quite ridiculous) standard. Should she fall short of this standard, she internalizes it as a failure on her part and does not take failure of any kind very well (her mistake that she believes resulted in Morrigan's death is the most notable of these "failures"). Losing at anything frustrates her immensely, and not being able to excel at something she tries immediately (given how quickly she tends to pick up things) makes her incredibly upset. If she does not understand something the first time or does not perform a particular task well upon first trying it, Judith will obsess over the task and work at it until she is satisfied with the outcome. In addition, her high standards for her own abilities leaves her with an intense drive to rise as far up in her task as she can, striving to eventually be the most skilled Shade in Vektren.
[intense & obsessive]
A lot of her identity stemming from her parentage and status, it is of no surprise that Judith takes herself
extremely seriously. Jokes at her expense and others treating what she believes to be serious matters with little regard, Judith does not take lightly. She is a wolf of strong opinions that she is not afraid to be let known. In addition, her seriousness and passion also apply to her interests. She tends to fixate rather strongly on one thing or another at any given time, and devotes her whole self to whatever interest or task that may be. If her mind is focused on one thing, it is incredibly difficult for it to be redirected to something else (by another wolf).
[curious & meddlesome]
Judith's ceaseless curiosity pertains strongly to the affairs of others, regardless of whether or not she is familiar with them. Knowing the business of other wolves is a keen interest of hers, and she is by no means averse to inserting herself within it. For this reason, she comes off incredibly rude to those who are not used to this behavior (and honestly, likely also to those who
do know her well, but being so used to her being this way, they disregard it). Even so, Judith is not explicitly
trying to be rude, she just merely does not quite understand that putting her nose in others' affairs is considered extremely impolite (she knows that it is bad, but doesn't understand
how bad, and continues to do so due to the fact that she's never had anyone fight back against her meddling very strongly before).
[loyal]
Judith dedicates herself to her friends, family, and packmates and would do everything in her power to keep them safe and to provide for them. Though she may not see eye-to-eye with some of her packmates, she is willing to look past her own misgivings to stick by them and to protect them. Should one of her packmates, friends, or family do something which she personally not agree with, Judith will remain faithful to them regardless (so long as they do not go against Vektren's laws or the Gods).
[bitter, regretful & discontented]*
Her somewhat strained relationship with her brother, the loss of some of her packmates, her fallout with Amaris, and the current state of affairs in the Domain (the Hive) have left Judith with unresolved feelings of bitterness, anger, sadness, and regret. Everything around her seems to be increasingly out of her control, and try as she might to have some influence over it all, she either exacerbates her situation or is powerless to make the kinds of changes she desperately wishes she could. Life is certainly nowhere near the easy and carefree one she lived in her childhood, and she feels a great sense of regret for taking it for granted. Her regrets have only continued to pile up after her numerous mistakes and harsh, relationship-shattering words that she can't take back.
[irritable & unfriendly]*
Judith's disillusionment with her own life and the perilous state of the Domain have done
nothing to improve her disposition. Where Judith used to be unapproachable merely due to her status, now she has an air of unpleasantness that she did not have before. The stress of living in fear of the Hive compounded by her increasing frustration have taken a heavy toll on the once boisterous young she-wolf. Her patience, which had already been thin before, has only worsened. She's quick to snap at others if bothered and is more prone to bouts of anger.
