Theme Feature 7: All the Children of the World

This is my 7th installment of my feature-call articles.  Over a month ago, I sent out a call for art featuring children.  All submitted images were featured in a journal box for about a month.

Before I share my favorites of the submitted photos and other art from my favorites, I wanted to share this poem by my friend Corvidae65
                                             Children
                                            an innocence
                                   can be seen in their eyes
                                  surreal dreams and reality
                         mix together and shape the little ones
                                  belief in all things magical
                                   like a mischievous sprite
                                        makes us feel like
                                                children

A few from my gallery:


Some of these children have wonderful, happy lives, some struggle to stay alive.  Some of these have hundreds of s, some only have 2.  Some of these are by professionals, some are "mere" family snapshots.  But ALL of these photos show the wonderful innocence of children. I tried to include photos of children from all around the world because ALL children are beautiful!
